Child Exploitation
The sad truth...
Tobacco fields are planted all over our area,
This one was behind my house....
Children are worth a lot of money....
"Children under 12 spent more than $24 billion of their own money in 1997, while directly influencing the spending of $188 billion more, McNeal reported in an April 1998 article in American Demographics. He estimates that by 2001, children's spending may reach $35 billion."

How much are they worth now?
How much are you worth?
I'm not preachin...I'm just sayin
I could have added "fire and the smoke" but that wasn't the point of the piece....

Omg it was DDed before I even had time to leave a comment lmao..
I love what you have done here. Its so sad how children are exposed to this kinda thing all the time.. a way of life. It really makes me think how lucky I am to live in my country.
Lovely shot, the sepia words really well with this.

Holy Cow!
I JUST saw this...
I was soooo surprised!
Where I live, tobacco is just another agro product, unless the parent teach the kids different, for urban children, smoking is a rite of passage...
Sad but true...
But not to worry, that's my daughter...she doesn't smoke

Sad indeed, but it's a very nice shot!!
The sepia is a good choice to make it look old.

Definately sad...that child-proof lighter didn't do a very good job.
Seriously, its a great shot. very...poetic.

When I finished it, one of my kids looked over my shoulder and said
Woah!
Then gave me a high five..
I guess I can't get a better critique than that...
