Description Though we haven’t done much commissioned work recently, a few months ago we worked on the album art for John Parr’s (Witness), The Everafter LP. Anyone familiar with the late Nujabes work is sure to appreciate the work of Witness.

Beautiful piece! The colours are lovely This is wonderful, and the cropped version works wonderfully for the face of the CD format. I hadn't heard of Witness before. Just listened to a few songs though, definitely loving these tunes. Thanks for link, I will certainly be picking this up. Keep crushing it guys!

The gaze of the woman lies onto the distant horizon of the land. She sits with a look of uncertainty and deep thought as the lotus blossom petals anointing her hair begin to silently flutter about the wind, building upon this scene with a serene beauty and somber isolation. The images of the koi fish upon her body and her mind slowly begin to swim about her, almost as if she were hoping that her mind could be freed of this world and to swim about as freely as the Koi fish themselves. While she sits with her look of uncertainty, she begins to accept one factor of life: while all things must soon fleet like petals upon the wind, we must all flow subtly upon the currents of life like the noble Koi fish and move on no matter how powerful the opposing currents may be.
I have to say that I really do love what you have done with this piece. The delicateness of the drawing style has an almost surreal feeling to it and helps the mind wander to places that ones mind barely visits. The soft and simple yet vibrant color usage really breathes quite a bit of life into this piece as well as easily garnering the attention of any users passing by it. One thing I could suggest for future reference is that you should not be afraid to go do the extra mile on detailing as I feel as though the hair could be a bit more developed. Perhaps you could have focused more on individual strands of hair as well as pronouncing them. Maybe even add a slight hazing effect to the background to present the viewer with an increased feeling of depth as if they are slipping mentally into a photograph. Some of the petals and clothing could have a bit of refinement to their shading effects and even add a slightly more powerful light source.

Suggestions aside, this does not take away from the fact that this is still quite a beautiful and thought-inspiring piece that will envelop the mind of the viewer and transport them to this somber land of the woman and the Koi.

Excellent job.

Very nice work! I know Nujabes music pretty well, and it's still a damn shame that guy had to leave this world with such inspirational tunes. Again, great work
