Discussion between alpha female in estrus and subordinate male from Bavarian forest pack. Note, that animal which look "more aggressive" stand lower in pack hierarchy than calmer one - its caused by aggression by fear. Estrus (usually in February-January) is for wolves time of fighting, conflict and social stress. In fact, these two escaped from focus few seconds after I taken this shot in ball of flying fur
