I would be glad to give it a try but my athleticism is sadly lacking. I would have to go into training and I've never really been the sporty type - so it could take a while.

Next week should be fine, gives you time to get fit.

Next week? Bah! I'll be fit enough to take in 2 logs by then.

So I'll start organising it then?

SunOwl In reply to Dontheunsane [2009-08-31 08:48:25 +0000 UTC]

Definitely!

...Oh wait, next week?

Damn, I think it's next week that I'm going to have all my teeth filled without benefit of anaesthetic. And since it promises to be as much fun I can't really miss it.

I know just the dentist, so efficient there is no waiting so he'll see you anytime. He still uses a pedal powered drill and his bits are a little old and blunt but his prices are good.

You know my dentist?

btw, I'm not sure I want to know how old his 'bits' are.

SunOwl In reply to Sir-Didymus [2008-11-07 09:04:53 +0000 UTC]

One should do that. It'd probably be easier if some *ahem* converstations were folded up.

Well if it keeps getting harder, perhaps you might want to think about going to emergency.

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

SunOwl In reply to Sir-Didymus [2008-11-05 11:23:10 +0000 UTC]

I came across it in a storm, my gallant Sir Didymus.

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

Sir-Didymus In reply to SunOwl [2008-11-05 22:20:15 +0000 UTC]

In a STORM, emotional or physical?

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

SunOwl In reply to Sir-Didymus [2008-11-07 09:02:31 +0000 UTC]

Physical. And I suppose it was more of a strong wind than a storm exactly.

Would you believe a weak wind?
How about a breeze?

even one thats a little negative?

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

SunOwl In reply to Sir-Didymus [2008-12-04 11:01:57 +0000 UTC]

Sure! Negatives can be just as fun as positives. They just get a bad rap. Besides, one man's negative is another man's positive.

I just gotta figure out if it's the same for women.

Oh egads I LOVE this picture. That's a Caladenia - if you let me know what area you're from (i.e. Albany / Busselton etc.) I could probably give you an exact species so you know specifically what kind.

Caladenia's are so stunning though. Just beautiful.

SunOwl In reply to Ravenari [2008-10-04 15:42:24 +0000 UTC]

Thank you! I spent hours trying to identify it, but it's not an easy task. I don't know nearly enough about plants.

The pic was taken approx 20-30kms inland of Capel (between Bunbury & Busselton).

Ravenari In reply to SunOwl [2008-10-05 03:26:42 +0000 UTC]

It's a subspecies of Caladenia longicauda (also known as the Common White Spider Orchid). It even looks like it could be this subspecies:

[link]

If it is, it's quite rare. But it's definitely found in the region you found it.

Wow so pretty. I love these photos that you take.

SunOwl In reply to Ravenari [2008-10-06 05:56:43 +0000 UTC]

From what I can tell that looks like it. Thanks so much for the ID.

I'm glad you like the pics.
