Out of all cases I have been forced to investigate, this is no doubt most disturbing.
Victim was shot repeatedly, with six bullets recovered from his body. Perpetrator claimed that this act was not a murder, but merciful euthanasia.
According to him, his former childhood friend had acted out of character, as if been possessed, although his abuse at the hands of his domineering wife seems more plausible explanation to his nervous yet volatile actions before his demise. Not to mention handkerchief covered in in victim's blood indicates self-injury and masochism.
Or so I thought, until I found one last remaining personal belonging of the victim-his magnum opus, controversial yet relatively well sell book bearing disturbing resemblance to Necronomicon, yet bearing title: Azathoth and Other Horrors...
