First of all, glad to hear that Cinema 4D version 9 lives up to expectations, always nice to see a quality program progress further and further.

Anyway, I think the most stricking aspect of this render would be the color choices and how they interact with not only each other but the textures as well. I think this piece would really pop if you added a bit of atmosphere and maybe some volume to the lighting, give it a cave-ish look... just an idea.
