Description Some tips and tricks in general:

- put a paper under your drawing hand, so you don’t smudge anything
- use a reference that is as large and detailed as possible (for example in this case: 2500 X 1600 pixel)
- take your time trying out brands and pencils (I prefer Faber Castell)

So, this is my promised skin tutorial. To be honest it was weird to do, because I’ve never paid much attention at how I draw. Analyzing my steps was pretty interesting.

Most of my pictures aren’t that detailed like you can see here. I just did it to have a good example for my tutorial. How many details you put into the skin depends mostly on your reference.

Please be also aware that this is just my way of doing it. It can be right for you, too, but maybe for you a different way works better.

As always, if you have any further questions feel free to ask

This is a tutorial for my picture Sam Worthington .

Can you tell me the "name" of your eraser pencil? They don't have it in my local store, but told me they could order it home, if I had the name And it seems like a great tool!

Svera In reply to ravdenmark [2011-03-26 18:45:50 +0000 UTC]

I can tell you the brand, if this helps: Faber Castell.

ravdenmark In reply to Svera [2011-03-28 13:19:44 +0000 UTC]

But does it have a name other than that? Like a model name?

For the tortillion part, do you just dab at the paper or do you go in a circular motion to make the little marks ?

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

Svera In reply to cgb6397 [2011-01-31 17:41:05 +0000 UTC]

In this case I just dab at the paper, if I want to do bigger marks I use a circular motion.

(:

Svera In reply to Brawl56 [2010-12-27 20:11:58 +0000 UTC]

Ist immer was doof.

Danke danke danke

Svera In reply to Brawl56 [2010-12-27 21:36:24 +0000 UTC]
