Description Toward the north end of Titlow Park, along Puget Sound in Tacoma, WA, there's a small road bridge to a private (possibly abandoned) boating club.  This bridge crosses the BNSF mainline from Seattle to Portland.  While I was there, I decided to wait and try and get a snapshot of Amtrak 505, the southbound Cascades, with the Tacoma Narrows Bridge in the background.  Unfortunately, the train was late.  And while I could track when it left Tacoma by phone, I couldn't determine its actual location.  And that curve meant I'd have little advance notice.

On the other end, to the south there are several grade crossings which trains have to blow for.  And eventually, an oil train did just that, giving me plenty of time to turn and get a pic.  Then I turned back...and here comes Amtrak, finally.  The result is this picture, taken in a great hurry, but getting an unexpected meet in the progress.
