Description
Wow, I keep putting them out....Forgive the horrible drawing of this pic, I drew it without reference (mainly) on the back of a Wendy's bag and then did all sorts of stuff to it on Paint. Originally, you could see Mai's face, but then I decided to have her little shoulder-diamond thingy (whatever it's called) falling over her face...biggest artistic mistake I have ever made. That infernal thing was revised over and over and over again, and it STILL looks horrible....
Zuko had to be squished in Paint and re-placed for it to work....but other than that, pretty much everything is no-ref (besides the background). Mai, Zuko, and our little turtle-duck friend.
If you can't tell (and you probably can't), Mai just slipped on a puddle and almost fell into the pond....Zuko "rescued" her, but at the cost of finding himself, once again, in an awkward situation with Mai.
Seriously, when I originally conceived and created the pic, I had no idea that I was making another pond situation...it occurred to me halfway through that the odds of something like this happening are incredibly slim...and I don't like that slim of odds. I also realized that the thought gags were a lot like Toph's line from "The Serpent's Pass." It was purely coincidental. But what else are you supposed to do?
I also originally had a little Ty Lee calling Azula over....but she got cut. I considered (and am still considering) adding a squeeing shippy Ty Lee (she's a Maizu shipper, that girl), but I don't know if it would work well....the wall kind of removed the zone she would occupy....but I never intended for this to be a good deviation, and I don't feel like it is, really, it's a relative quicky....I'm impressed with myself, sure, but the number of flaws just makes me cringe.
Should I add Ty Lee (I can make room for her on the side) or leave it like it is? Should I change something?
I dunno.
They have GOT to stop meeting like that, though....props to for that particular quip, which was running through my head the whole time....
Oh, if you can tell me how to fix that thing on Mai, please do, it's bugging me.
Mai and Zuko and the turtle-duck and the Fire Nation and the pond all belong to Viacom, Nickelodeon, and Avatar: The Last Airbender. They are not my characters.
The situation IS mine, however.
P.S. My descriptions are NOT too long!
P.P.S.: That position MUST be painful....

Heh clearly this person has never read one of my comments before
Eh don't worry about comments being too long or too short. If you need to say it go right ahead, the people who gripe about comments being too long are probably the ones who don't read 'em anyway.
