Description
Made a simple app to add a drop shadow to your taskbar. One .exe for a taskbar on the bottom, and one for the taskbar on top. Use whichever you need...No installation, just copy to your %Program Files% folder. And run whichever .exe you need.
Instructions included.
-Adjustable opacity (darkness)
-Option to run at startup
Other than the ability to right click the shadow, it is non intrusive and doesn't show anything in the system tray.
Right click the shadow to choose preferences or to close it.
There may be a very slight chance that this won't work for your setup. Therefore, no support is given for this program.

You should have show it in the system tray so people can always change its options, even when it's transparent.

I changed the shadow opacity to zero, and now I cannot use it anymore because cannot right click it (it's invisible now) to change back the opacity!
Please fix thanks~

Okay, I think I might need to report a bug with this.
I've been using this for well over a year, and I just finally got my computer turned into a dual monitor setup. And for some reason, now when I start TBshadow, the shadow appears halfway up the screen and offset to the right. :/ I can't use it like that, and I love this program. I've had it for as long as I've had this computer. It's one of those UI elements I've come to love and appreciate.
So pretty pretty please fix it? Or at least show me how I can resolve this? Because i love this program.

Shows up as a Trojan with AVG, but otherwise works fine on Windows 7 x64 for me.

I was wondering if you could help me.
I've been using this for a while and never had an issue until recently I tried using ZoneScreen to use a dual monitor setup over IP. It caused an unforeseen problem where the drop shadow is stuck around a quarter of the way on the desktop.
Example: [link]
Is there a registry entry I can delete or alter?
Thanks in advance.

I'd been using it for a long time! But one day, it automatically exited when I logged in! Then, everytime I try to run it, it says: Top TB Shadow.exe has stopped working! A problem caused the program to stop working correctly. Please close the program!
What can I do now to fix it ?
Please help ! Thanks !

Does this one work with Object Dock? I tried one of these before and when it came up from autohide, the shadow would get all messed up

Looks amazing! Got it as a suggestion in .txt file of a Snow Leopard skin for Windows 7 and it matches the whole Mac theme without me having an actual dock, just because I love the dropshadow lol

I'm doomed. My new laptop has McAfee, and it does not support file exceptions (the retarded thinks it's a Trojan).
FUCK YOU MCAFEE FOR NOT LETTING ME USE MY OWN PC.
Otherwise, this is a great piece of customization. I used it on my old laptop and it looks amazing. Thank you.

Why not uninstall McAfee? I had McAfee for the longest time because my parents were told it was "good." Just like Norton, it's just filled with bloatware. I'm a nerdy 15 year old now. But take my advice and get Microsoft Security Essentials or AVG.

I know it sucks, but it's a free 2 year subscription, and until I get the antivirus serial from my college, I'll leave it on. (:
15?! I thought you were older. No idea why.
Thank you!

dude good new to you, just cause its paid doesn't mean its better. There are many free antivirus that have been proven over and over again to be better than McAfee's bloatware. So do yourself a favor and switch from that mess of a program.

I know, but it came for free, so it isn't really payed, haha.
I know McAfee sucks. I have already talked to my parents and they are getting me Nod 32 5. (:

Nod32 is an extremely good choice, it is one of the best AV in my opinion. In imho you can still uninstall McAfee lol, I would hate that POS.. and install Avast free. Avast is also an amazing AV. Cheers my friend

Hahaha, I ended up getting my college's AV, which is Syantec Endpoint Protection, and it's so damn complete... AND it lets the Tbar Drop Shadow run without a single problem.

I am going to be completely honest. This is possibly the only customization program I have used continuously for 6 months. I set it to start with windows, and I've since completely forgotten about it because it blends in so well. It really adds definition to the Windows 7 Taskbar. Good job!

Thanks for this sweatyfish, works perfectly!
To others..
If your anti virus says this is a virus - turn off your anti virus on the first run, or ad an exception for this. It is 100% clean - and works fine.
I run Avast Pro, Malwarebytes and Comodo firewall. (not a noob, trust me)

Good news for everyone who has been having issues with the shadow dissapearing or not working after editing the settings ! After a little poking around i finally found a solution :
1. Close the TB Shadow exe file.
2. Go to : X:\Users\"Your User Name"\AppData\Local\Stardock\DesktopX\GadgetCache\
AND Delete the "TB Shadow" folder
3. Start Top or Bottom shadow exe and it should work.
If you happen to edit the settings and the shadow dissapears just repeat the process.
