Some easy steps on how to make an original Sonic OC!
1: Pick your fav animal, and draw it Sonic-style.
2: pick your fav hairdo or quills. Add them in!
3: color the eyesyour second-favorite color
4: color the body you're favorite color! The hair can or cannot be a different color.
5: Pick a name, some Sonic charries have regular names (Amy, Sally, Geoffery St. John etc.) but most are nouns, (Sonic, Knuckles, Tails, Shadow) and some are kind of unusual (Robotnik, Rouge) Here are some ideas:
Angel
Solstice
Bronco
Hotspur
Captain
Maximillian
These are only a few. I have used the name Solstice, but everyone calls him Sol (not like Sol in warriors!)
6: pick out some clothes, or just shoes and gloves! Yes, ladies, your charrie can go pantless (mine does, and I'm a gal here!) or just have a vest on!
Tips for making a good character personality:
DON'T make it any official character's long-lost sibling or relative. (sorry, it spells recolor)
DO infuse your OWN personality
DO make them unique
DON'T make their backstory too much like Sonic's (parents killed at young age... YAWN!)
DON'T make them a character's perfect other half. also had RECOLOR written all over it.I don't care if your character looks nothing like them, the PERSONALITY is where it counts. (I kept Sonic's spines because they're like a buzzsaw)
DO make your friends into Sonic charries and put them in action-packed scenes together. Make them the 'Indiana Jones' of their town.
Not for powers,a BIG problem.
DON'T make them more powerful than any Sonic charrie.
EXAMPLE OF A RECOLOR:
Hi I am violet the hedgehog I am Amy's long-lost sister I am pale purple. I am faster than Sonic, stronger than Knuckles, and can use Chaos Control better than Shadow. I am also a better theif than Rouge and a better mechanic than Tails! Shadow is the love of my life and I always chase after him!
DON'T MAKE YOUR CHARRIE LIKE THIS!! IT SUCKS!
DO make powers that fit your charrie. (If your charrie is super-smart, give them some telekineses)
