Description         Aria padded up to Streak, his single black streak glinting against his white body. Streak green eyes glowed with love, and so did Aria's blue eyes when they met. Aria's loving gaze suddenly turned fearful. "Streak, Garen has just proclaimed his love, and is spreading a  rumor that we are mates! She whimpered, laying her ears back in fear. Garen was Alpha Borron's son, and he got what he wanted, all the time. "How dare he! I just courted you a half moon ago!" snarled Streak, his hackles rising. "Aria, dear, it's time for you to become mine," purred a silky voice. It was Garen, Alpha Borron's son. He had blue-grey fur, with silver muzzle, chest, belly, ears, and tail tip. He padded up to the small dark grey she-wolf. She laid her ears flat and drew back, eyes wide. Streak stepped in-between, his hackles still raised. In the moonlight, he cut an impressive figure. He was huge, with broad, muscular shoulders, chest, and back. "You know I mated with her just last moon! You were there, you saw! Don't lie to me!" roared Streak, rearing up and pounding the ground with powerful front paws. "Do not forget I am the son of Alpha Borron," growled Garen in return. "Alpha Borron, please," yelped Streak, addressing a large, tawny and white wolf, whose entire face was nearly silver. "Garen, my son, Streak and Aria are a mated pair, and only if they decide to split can you have Aria, courting has nothing to do with being the son or daughter of  an alpha or not." rasped Alpha Borron, walking over, his scarred silver face glowing in the moonlight. "Come, wolves of the Sunset Pack, let us hunt, for the caribou is plenty!" he howled, leading the pack in the direction of clacking hooves. Streak
S tail swished Aria's side, and she was off. Though she was small, she had large lungs, and long legs. She kept up with Streak, taking two steps for every two of his. She leaped over a log and onto the back of the caribou the pack had cornered. "Your meat shall sustain us," she rumbled, and bit the jugular.
Streak and Aria worked together on digging a conjoining snow den in the ground. Garen snarled, and then licked his new mate, Arrow, who was just as vicious and cruel as he. Streak licked Aria's head, then settled down, letting the snow cover him as he sank into oblivion, his mate by his side.
"Alpha Borron is dead! Alpha Borron is dead! Alpha Borron has died in his sleep!" howled Morgan, running around to where the snow dens where.  She continued her howl as Alpha Garen stepped up. "I, Alpha Garen, mourn over the body of Alpha Borron, but I, along with my mate, Arrow, will be the best leaders this pack ever had!" snarled the blue-grey wolf. Nobody howled, they were like rocks, staring down on the body of good Alpha Borron, who was no more. Aria raised a heartbreaking howl, not to honor the new Alpha, but to carry Alpha Borron to Lupus.  "It is nearly morning, the wolves of the Sunrise Pack will be asleep, as your Alpha, I say, let's go and attack!" howled Alpha Garen. "No," snarled Aria, stepping forward with head, ears, and tail held high. "Although you are Alpha, many think you should not be Alpha, and I am one of them. I refuse to obey your order to attack the Sunrise Pack in cold blood." Aria looked up at Alpha Garen, her eyes glinting with anger and pain. "Alright, we will not attack Sunrise Pack, now," he barked, then went into the Alpha's den without a word of goodbye to his father. Aria dropped her tail and ears, and, sitting by Alpha Borron's body, cried like only a wolf can cry. She howled into the night, shoulders shaking with the feeling she put into it. Streak came up and added his deep, calm howl. Nanuk, a 16-year old black wolf with a jagged splash of white down her chest, padded up and added her higher howl, for she was a year younger than Alpha Borron was, Alpha wolves, if worthy, are given strength by Lupus, wolf heaven. The pack added their howls, and then Alpha Garen barked, "Quiet down!" and by then the song had ended. Arrow, a she-wolf with a white tail, paws, and a tan arrow marking on her face, padded up to Garen. "Attention! Aria is not my mate! Arrow is!" he howled. Arrow looked at him with adoring eyes, and her cruel heart was a perfect match for his savage cunning.
The next day, when Alpha Garen and Arrow were sleeping, the pack was plotting, at least the rebels were. There were 20 wolves in the Sunset Pack. 9,(not counting Garen and arrow) were on Garen's side. The other 9, which included the strongest and wisest wolves, were the rebels. "We must launch an attack, tonight, it's a new moon!" growled Streak. "But who will be leader?" rasped Nanuk. "I vote Streak," growled Storm, a grumpy elder who never thought of anyone else. "me too," piped Dawn, a gold and black wolf. "As do I," rumbled Fang, a blue wolf, Alpha Garen's brother, who had an overlong tooth that could make a deadly slash in an opponent. He was also one of the wisest wolves in the land.
"me too,"
"Agreed"
"I'm with you,"
"yeah, Streak should be the leader," came the barks, rumbles, and growls. "We attack at moon high," snarled Streak, "Sleep now, we need our strength." he lay down and slept.
"Ready?" growled Streak.
"Yes," whimpered Aria, fur bristling with excitement. "For Good Alpha Borron!" howled Streak, and plunged for Garen's throat. The blue wolf whirled and managed to throw him off. Aria was clawing at Arrow's face, cleverly making deep cuts above the eyes, making Arrow's own blood blind her, and slashing at the knees and ankles, making movement difficult, and making her lose blood faster and faster. Dawn and Nanuk fought bravely side by side. Fang was ripping open the back of a light grey wolf, throwing him off to the side, where he skittered off in retreat. Streak bit Garen's throat, getting his white face covered in blood as red, liquid life spurted out of the jugular. Garen closed his eyes, and plunged from his life to Firemouth, wolf hell. Arrow died moments after.
"Alpha Streak! Alpha Streak! Alpha Streak!" howled Sunset pack as the white wolf with a black streak took his place, green eyes glinting. At his side, Faithful Aria, as she was known. Her blue eyes glowed, and she stepped lighter than usual, wagging her tail at everyone.
