"Thank you, Thomas and Edward!" Lady said, graciously. Then Edward remembered something very important. Today was the deadline for Emily's ultimatum, and as a result he had some words of his own.

"Thomas, thank you for saving Emily after the battle here earlier. The only way I can thank you is to say, all is forgiven." Edward said. Emily smiled, pleased with her boyfriend.

"Well done, Edward, you just earned yourself a date night!" She announced. Burnett was a bit confused by this.

"Do they..." He began,

"Don't think about it to hard." Said Sir Topham Hatt. Now it was Thomas' turn to say something. He looked into Lady's eyes and remembered the first time he met her at Elsbridge station. They had been on his mind every day since. He was glad that Lady could finally get to do the things an engine should.

"Ahem. Lady, I've got something to say to you, too." Thomas said. "For a little while, I had a crush on another engine, and it got me into trouble." Edward raised an eyebrow, knowing what he was talking about as he then looked at Emily, who smirked. "But, were it not for that little misadventure, I wouldn't have gotten to meet you, and your beautiful eyes and smile." Lady was flustered and looked away. "I'm terribly sorry for what happened to you all this time, how you were brainwashed and made to be a cult idol. I guess who I should really be asking is Mr. Stone." Thomas paused. "Mr. Stone, I would like Lady to be my girlfriend. Would you be alright with that? You are like her father, since you built her and all that." Burnett smiled, and seeing him made Lady smile, too.

"Of course, Thomas. After saving her, Lady would probably follow you to the ends of the earth. Not like I could really stop her." Burnett said, but then the realization set in that he would most likely not see his creation again.
