Description
Death is an angel with two faces:To us he turns
A face of terror, blighting all things fair;
The other burns
With glory of the stars, and love is there.
-Theodore Chickering Williams
Some of you might remember when I submitted this with text, but I decided to resubmit one without the text and offer it as a print. It's now available as a Premium Download.

Amazing! It's been a while since I've seen someone compare controlled, semi-abstract forms to angels. It reminded me of these things I used to draw years ago (they weren't that good), which were sort of like strange "vehicles" for angels and demons to take the form of. Maybe I should get back into those. It's almost spooky that the dark wispy lines at the top of your image are kinda like hair (and these days people are relating long black hair to Japanese horror movies, especially The Ring).
It's a great artwork anyway, and I wouldn't mind having a poster of it on my wall.

This is an utterly amazing peice of abstract work. I love the blend of hues. it brings the peice together as well as the percision placement of bright stars along the white and light purple. i can tell you put a lot of time and effort into this. You have immortalized the poem in its entirety.

I'm not sure, you'll have to inform me, but I think that is a disgusting quote you have there.
On the image though I think your colour gradient is really pleasing to the eye, but the composition is lacking?

If you're talking about the poem, I didn't write it, but it is a famous poem written in the 1800's so I doubt it was meant to be disgusting. It's about how we fear death. Maybe that will put some perspective on it for you.

I think what truely makes a fractual piece work, more than just composition or color, is concept.
And you had a beautiful piece of inspiration ontop of a very stunning piece.
I admit that don't usually +fav featured-devs even when I comment on them, but I am for this one, because I know I'll want to come back and look at it. ^_-

Reminds me of a quote I heard once that went something like: "Death is an angel so beautiful, that when one sees his fact, it takes their breath away."
Hella nice piece, btw. ^_^

Death is the perfect concept for this fractal. It's so simply colour and looks both graceful and ominous. Those little star-like flares add a lot to it, and I love how the bottom of the fractal looks like a delicate fish/mermaid tale or a butterfly/faerie wing.

this is indeed a really impressing piece, I haven't seen such a good abstract image in a long time I like your use of low saturated tones, and how you made all your shapes sort of flowing and waving into each other. the combination of dark and bright elements makes this really eye catching and leads the eye around the piece
that's a well deserved DD, congrast
