Description
A few years back, me, two friends and my brother sat down and drew some creatures and objects we got from SlimeBeast's Random Monster Generator. I enjoyed these weird creations so much, I decided to re-draw these, as well as every other thing on the list I printed, and give them all fun backstories. These drawings are from after our session, and were originally done up about a year and a half ago.

Prompt: Mikey The Worm-Eaten Fungus
"How many times did we warn him! Mikey..."
The other mushrooms told Mikey a thousand times to stay away from The Dead Grounds, but he didn't listen. His curiosity got the better of him one day, and he finally decided he'd prove them wrong. He stepped across the threshold without a care in the world, and waited. A full minute passed before he took another step. Then another. And another. Soon enough, Mikey was sprinting through The Dead Grounds, laughing. He knew it was nothing more than stories meant to scare young spores. That is, until he felt the rumbling beneath his feet. Mikey froze up, before realizing what the feeling was. He ran, hoping to cross the threshold in time. He wasn't fast enough. They never are. The other mushrooms watched in fear as the worm infested corpse of Mikey shambled towards their village, and hung their heads in sorrow as the guards incinerated the abomination. There's a reason the mushrooms don't enter The Dead Grounds. They will never let that plague spread ever again.
Prompt: The Reaper Slime
"We saw Death itself!"
Another intriguing species of Slime, the Reaper Slime is perhaps the rarest breed in existence. While its appearance suggests an intimidating predator, the Reaper Slime is actually the most timid and fearful species of Slime. While most Slime devour whatever they can fit themselves over, Reaper Slime are perfectly content devouring moss, lichens and smaller Slimes. Usually an amorphous mass like any other Slime, the Reaper Slime gains its name from the form it takes when threatened or frightened. When a potential threat to its life is spotted, the Reaper Slime will take the form of what appears to be an Aspect of Death. The mimicry is so effective, that even seasoned adventurers are fooled, and are forced to flee from what they perceive to be a devastating foe. If the threat doesn't flee, or isn't tricked by the Slime's appearance, the Slime will quickly return to its regular form and slither off into the shadows.
Prompt: The Flower That Changes Your Neighbors
"They keep spreading! They just keep spreading!"
The first of the flowers appeared without warning. It simply sprouted up in a suburban neighborhood as if it were normal. As if it belonged. There's no denying that these flowers are beautiful, in their own way, so it's understandable that whoever first encountered it must've tried to pick it. Plus, no one is going to expect a plant to do...that. So yeah, they grabbed it, got stung by the thorns, and left the flower there to go lick their wounds. If what I've seen is any indication it must've been about three hours of agonizing pain before the changes finished. Neighbors probably went to check on them and found what they had become. I imagine that's when the shit hit the fan. Whoever the first 'Morph' didn't kill, it infected, either through its own means or by bringing them back to the source. To the flower. By the time anyone who could do anything was alerted, this shit had spread. You see, the Morphs can spread the infection quicker. But they run out of the infection if they don't fill up at the flowers. It's a sick cycle. Anyways, the infection was spreading, and quick. Cops, the military, the government, by the time any of them really got their asses in gear, even more plants had sprouted. This madness was hitting every part of the country. Hell, it may have already been hitting other parts of the world by then; it's hard to say, everything was so chaotic. The military tried everything too. Guns, fire, chemical etc. It all killed the Morphs, but the infection would spray out them and coat the area, bringing more flowers and more Morphs. Oh, did I forget to mention the flowers eventually started creating Morphs on their own? Well, yeah, they did. By the time we realized the flowers were the cause, it was too little too late. The Morphs had spread across every corner of the globe, and those flowers just kept spreading and controlling them. There isn't that many of us left now. I hear rumors of people looking for ways to fight back, to end this horror...but I ain't holding out hope.
