EDIT2// Alright due to finding this being posted on some other sites to be used as a wallpaper, I've added a watermark in case. Sorry about that! I try to avoid putting obvious watermarks but I guess I have to in this case.. Please DO NOT use my artwork, ASK FIRST. Thank you!
EDIT/ Please click download or double click the picture for the full size :3 thanks!
Wow... I'm done..... After loads of hard work, I'm finally done with my dad's birthday present! I put everyone's trades, aceos, gifts everything on standbye while I worked my hand dead on this thing. D: Mind... blown....
Critique welcomed! But before you critique please keep in mind, I do know that tigers can't climb tall trees like this
I'm severely unhappy with that random leafy branch at the bottom, it looks out of nowhere and ruins the composition but if I take it off it looks worse...
Initial inspiration here (you should check out this artist as well she's awesome!!): [link]

Thank you so much! I'm glad you like it
My not-so-secret secret to both are simply texture brushes. Namely the default chalk brush in Photoshop, after fiddling with the flow and stuff a little it looks pretty cool! I definitely recommend you try it out on your wip piece (the totally awesome mind blowing piece with three dragons)
Thank you again Ama!

The chalk brush? I shall have to give it a shot sometime. Although I primarily use SAI to colour now.
And you're welcome, it's a really beautifull piece!

Hm..... I used to use SAI, so maybe put the airbrush on 'paper' texture?

Hmm, could work. I recent;y figured out how to customize brush shapes a bit more too, so that could work

Aw thank you!!!! It's really simple! Here's my steps:
1) You take some greens and light greens and using a low opacity brush (like 60% or 70%) you just put in all your base colors.
2) Using again a low opacity brush and with a darker green or a dark blue you brush in the shadows.
3) Use a small low opacity brush draw in the leaves, put in on a light green color!
4) Repeat step 3 with different greens until everything is nicely blended
Hope this helps!

My only comment /would/ be about the leaves. They look kind of... bouncy, when real leaves have shape. Like with the flowers and vines you have? Those vine leaves could be how the rest of the leaves are as well, rather than the fluffy blob-things.
Other than that, it's gorgeous <33 I love the tiger's expression and that sky is /brilliant/.

Thank you for the delightful critique!
Ah that's just my lazy style of drawing leaves but I see what you mean, I'll go back in and define some of the leaves on the edges a little more (like the vine leaves!)
Thanks again!

This is really nice! I love the peaceful feeling C:
I think his face would be a bit more smushed against that branch, and I can tell you were going for backlighting but the bunch of leaves on the bottom seem off with the lighter "outlines", that part would likely be darker. Also remember that the glowing flowers would have lighting effects of their own! the leaves and bark around them would be illuminated. Also there wouldn't be any backlighting (or it would be hard to see) where his body/face meets the branches
this is nice though! I like the work you put into it.... and the glowing flowers! 8D

Firstly I want to say, thank you for the great critique!
That is true, it's a real embarrassment that I didn't see that. Right now it looks like he has not neck either. The second point you have is very true as well, I need to go back and fix the lighting and the leaves now! Oh that I need to fix up as well. My lighting really needs some work :\ Thanks again for the pointers!
Thank you for the awesome critique!
