I adore Sphinx and the Cursed Mummy. I can't believe THQ got so little adoration for their wonderful game. Honestly, why isn't it popular? Why does crap like whatshisface and the search for JuJu get a sequel and Sphinx gets hardly any recognition? I want a sequel, dammit!Originally THQ was going to give Sphinx the ability to turn into a sphinx; an idea that didn't make it into the release. I wish I could find the Game Informer review with the snapshot of the sphinx in it. (I remember being so excited when it read it in April '03) Ah well, so I just made something up.

Sphinx and the Cursed Mummy was so fun,... but it was HARD too! XD I never could finish because I kept dying as Mummy-- ironic, huh? XD

I agree completely when so say it didnt get enough recognition. This game is so beautiful in every aspect, yet you can hardly find anything about it. A sequal to this would be awsome, especially if you got to play more than the 2 characters.

I agree, the game wasn't nearly as popular as it should have been. I thought THQ did such a good job on it, too. Turn into a Sphinx? That's so awesome! I never heard that at all, but they should have done it.

Yesh, about five/six months before the game came out I found an article in Game Informer (I believe) that gave the whole scoop on the game in a really positive way. It was still called 'Sphinx and the Shadow of Set' at the time, and THQ talked about the various things Sphinx would be able to do, including turn into a sphinx (that's why he has a tail) and fly around. They had a little snapshot of it too, but sadly I haven't been able to find that magazine for ages.
