Description:
---------------
The Sharp-class patrol boat is a small and very cost-effective law enforcement vessel.
The vessel is a “modern” and heavily modified variant of the, at this point, positively ancient Katori-class interstellar patrol vessel line originally designed for the United Nations Space Forces. The current Sharp-class was adopted by the Union of Free Systems to be supplied to Auxiliary Defense Forces Navy elements to bolster the capabilities of these system defense forces to counter pirate activities. These auxiliary patrol boats are only lightly armed and armored and almost always operate in groups or with larger vessels.
The Sharp-class was never adopted by regular navy forces and is exclusively used by auxiliary defense forces or private defense contractors.
