The FA2109M-HS is a version of the FA2109M made for Highwall Security Services, a relatively small private security company specilized in protecting planetary mining operations on the rimward edge of human space. It is for all intends and purposes a factory accessorized standard FA2109M with a standard FA2109 length barrel and hand handguard with an integrated bipod.
Made by Wolfwood Armament, a relatively small firearms manufacturer specialized in modern or modernized reproductions of historical arms from the 20th century. The FA2109M is a modernized take on the classic FAL battle rifle chambered in 6.5mm Creedmoor configured as a semi-automatic marksman's rifle.
The rifle features various updates and changes to the original design, including an ambitextrous bolt catch/release, an ambitextrous fire selector an an AR style magazine well utilizing a relatively common pattern of polymer 6.5 Creedmoor/.308 Winchester magazines.
