Description
With 80.000 people storming the camping grounds, the traffic jam before the Wacken Open air reached record proportions.
The road from Hamburg to Wacken is only 80 kilometers long and we were jammed for NINE HOURS. And it was hot, so the beer was warm, too. We reached the festival at 2 o'clock in the night. Some people even needed 15 hours for the same way.
The festival however was more than worth the ordeal. There's no better heavy metal festival under the sun.
