It was at this point when we were at the shrine that the sun decided it would peek out from behind the clouds, and line itself up perfectly with the center of the torii, reflecting on the lake down the center as well.

Needless to say, I was ecstatic.

At the beginning of December, we decided to go take some pictures. My husband had mentioned that he bikes past a few shrines on his way to one of his schools, so we grabbed the camera bag and headed out. It turns out, this is a rather large Hachiman shrine, the Komo Hachiman Shrine 「薦神社」I cannot wait to go back again to get more pictures!
