So, I don't know if this is what anime looks like to you, but this is what anime looks like to me.Ideally for Illustrator CS2 users but these principles/tips/techniques can be applied to pretty much any program.
This is my contribution to Vector Week; July 21-25.

brilliant tutorial , gives a really nice effect too.
although i just spent the past half a day trying to get anything like as good as that.. and would it happen!? would. it. HELL!

I'm such an old fashioned guy when I say Anime is with Cel Paint. I think I just like Gunbuster a lot.. I miss that style.

Wow this is so helpful. I've missed a few steps and did other things differently.

Glad to help! ^_^ Remember though, there are different ways of colouring. Imitate what you find helpful but be open to other ways, too.

It's tricky at first but it ensures uniform colouring.
