Oh man!! I still adore Blaze to this day! I just got done catching up in the Sonic Universe comics about an hour or so ago, and Blaze was the best character displayed!

I used an airbrush in Sai to do it.

Is that it? But it looks so textured. Every time I use the airbrush it just looks fuzzy and it's usually too blurry draw with. i just use it to color and shade a bit.

Well I used the 'fuzytastic' setting on the air brush and lowered the density.
For colouring and shading I just use a brush that I made myself.

Hmmm... I have to study this a bit more. It looks like you took great care in the angle of your strokes as well, which adds a lot to it. But come to think of that, it might be a texture that you overlaid, am I right? It looks like it covers the whole image and repeats itself. Yeah, come to think of it, using that texture on a high contrast along with the airbrush with very skilled shading and hue fluxuation is what is making it look that way. cool! I need to try that sometime!
