Lily had always loved dogs, but her boyfriend Jake was not a fan. He thought they were too noisy, messy, and needy. He preferred to spend his free time playing video games or watching movies, not taking care of a furry creature.

That's why Lily decided to surprise him with a special gift. She had found a magical dog collar online, that claimed to transform the wearer into a dog for a limited time. She thought it would be a fun way to show Jake how wonderful dogs were, and maybe convince him to adopt one.

She wrapped the collar in a colorful box and hid it in the back yard. She invited Jake over for a picnic, and waited for the right moment to reveal her surprise.

"Hey, Jake, I have something for you," she said, after they finished their sandwiches and lemonade.

"What is it?" Jake asked, curious.

"Follow me," Lily said, grabbing his hand and leading him to the back yard.

She pointed to the box, which was sitting under a tree.

"Open it," she said, smiling.

Jake walked over to the box and lifted the lid. He saw a shiny silver collar with a red button on it.

"What's this?" he asked, confused.

"It's a dog collar," Lily said, excited.

"A dog collar? Why did you get me a dog collar?" Jake asked, puzzled.

"It's not for you, silly. It's for me," Lily said, taking the collar out of the box.

"For you? What do you mean?" Jake asked, more confused.

Lily put the collar around her neck. She felt a tingling sensation, and then everything changed.

She shrank in size, her hair turned into fur, her ears became floppy, and her nose became wet. She looked at Jake with her big brown eyes, and wagged her tail.

She had turned into a dog.

"Wow," Jake said, stunned.

He knelt down and reached out to touch her. She licked his face and nuzzled his hand.

She barked happily, and ran around the yard, chasing butterflies and sniffing flowers.

She came back to Jake and nudged him with her nose. She wanted him to play with her.

Jake smiled and threw a stick for her. She fetched it and brought it back to him.

They played fetch for a while, and then Jake hugged her and rubbed her belly.

She rolled over and looked at him with love.

She was having so much fun, and she hoped Jake was too.

She wanted him to see how much joy a dog could bring.
