That why i hate Aus as if aus are too far from the game(Dreamtale comes in mind),theres no point for a Undertale fan who's reaching for Undertale stuff to even read them.Thus important aspects of Undertale should be respected to captivate Undertale fans

I get where you're coming at, and I can agree with you that the UNDERTALE fans have to respect the canon until a certain degree. But the thing is, UNDERTALE is a special game wouldn't you agree? As you said in your original comment, nothing suggests that chara is evil right? At the same time nothing suggests Chara is good either. Therefore saying that Interlopers "Chara is sadistic, so they don't respect the canon" is incorrect. Because as far as we know in the canon, we'll never know if Chara is evil or not. So in Interlopers if Chara is portrayed as remorseless or sadisitic, there is no canon personality of Chara meaning that Interlopers is respecting the canon properties of the original game UNDERTALE.

In the same time,they say that they did not understand the purpose of their reincarnation unless you showed them and has like three kills in the whole game and accuse Frisk for killing everyone.
And again the point of my original comment was that it's unfair to depict a very ambiguous character (who's implied to have many "pet the dog" moments in lifetime and even after death)as even more irredeemable and psychopathic than an actual psychopath.It shows that people vilanize Chara simply because they don't understand them ,the same way they do with GasterΒ

I dont know about which narrative you're talking about,all i know is that you probably didn't even play the game because the vilain of the game is Flowey/Asriel(fun fact:ALL of people who aren't really familiar with Undertale and only watched fanon stuff are under this same impression that chara is the main vilain despite the fact that Flowey canonicaly fulfil this role).Chara is NEVER an obstacle for Frisk,they never try to kill them pr anything(even to get theit soul to allow asgore to destroy humanity they hated so much),they aren't a threat in the game,thus is not neither a vilain or an antagonist.Frisk on the other can be whatever you want.They are an empty shell you fill with personality through the actions you take

I was speaking hypothetically about narratives in general, not just about Undertale. Of course I know Flowey's the villain. He just gets one-upped in terms of murderous intent by the player and then by Chara on a Genocide route. And all Chara did was basically streamline the interface so you don't have to press buttons to kill things anymore, since you'd been doing a lot of that and nothing else.
However, this is an AU comic that barely touches on canon events aside from a very general overview: Chara is a genocider, Buddy is a genocider too, and these are the main characters. We're in a situation called "sympathetic POV", where you'll end up rooting for the villains simply because they're in the panel more often, so we get to see their motivations and thoughts. Meanwhile, any other character who shows up is generally portrayed as being just as bad or even worse than the main characters/villains.
Also, my main point was that a sympathetic POV is really easy to set up. Just type "[Character name] was a hero", and proceed to describe all the horrible, morally bankrupt things he does, says, and thinks. This trick will fool a good chunk of your readers.

I gotta disagree, there is no real villain of UNDERTALE. Asriel and flowey sure do put up a fight in UNDERTALE, but if you really played UNDERTALE many times and payed attention, you'll realize that flowey/asriel still really isn't the villain. In the actual game, it's clear that nobody is truly a 'villain' of the story. A villain is an obstacle in a story, like in different movies and such the hero always defeats the villain, the villain disappears and everyone loves happily ever after. But in UNDERTALE, if flowey was a villain, don't you think that flowey wouldn't help get your happy ending? Yet when you play UNDERTALE for the first time and do a neutral ending without killing anyone, flowey clearly tells you what you did wrong and ways that "Try befriending alphys to get your happy ending" so he's helping you get a happy ending, meaning he's not really a villain
Continuing from there, in fan made series', us fans usually take one character and keep them as a villain because we may not know how to make our story interesting. Villains always make the story more interesting, so we always try to add them in, it adds more tension to a story. So even if Chara is the villain in Interlopers, it doesn't mean that the authors truly think chara's pure evil, it's just for .the sake of a good story. I mean, you can tell that TC thinks that Chara is a neutral person, because in her doodles with Chara, they are always just a little bit mean but not genocidal.

Even though Asriel guide you to get a pacifist end,when he get the idea that Chara is possessing Frisk,he wouldnt let Frisk get their happy ending and will end up taking your friends'souls and fight you and eventually destroying the whole world eventually.
I don't even think that a good story need a vilain.Conflict can be VERY interesting even without any vilain.Take Inside out ,a movie where there's no vilain but which has a wonderful and interesting story about growing up,changing and the importance of sadness in life and is qualified as a masterpiece nearly by everyone.A vilain in the most case isn't even needed.And even if an Undertale fanfic needs a vilain,people don't have to always use either Chara or Gaster as literally any character from the game can be vilain(i would also say say that they are ALL vilains in the game since they are all obstacles to Frisk)
