Description
graphite on paperβ'Is it possible to become friends with a butterfly?'
'It is if you first become a part of nature. You suppress your presence as a human being, stay very still, and convince yourself that you are a tree or grass or a flower'"
- Haruki Murakami, 1Q84

People and their environment are all made up of the same energy that just gets passed around over time. We are physically closer to a tree or a bush than we often realize.

This is wonderful, great work. Love the concept. Call it "Butterfly Queen".

If I may I would like to propose a title
''In accordance with nature''
To become a friend of someone,
first You must become a part of him
and give a part of Your own self to the other person
because 'friendship' has another name I believe
which most of us have forgotten or
just feel afraid to say aloud:
'Soul Comunion'
These butterflies are wonderful
You've drawn every detail so precisely
this one spreading his wings on her hair,
on her right shoulder
is my favourite one:Β Swallowtail
I admire how You managed to draw the hair here.
It looks as if it was a quickset hedge
with so many little creatures living in it...
catterpilars, ladybirds and lots of other little organisms.
I see there even a chrysalis hanging
The body of this woman is a soil
on which flowers and other plants grow
and her face expression shows deep concentration,
so I think there was no need to draw her eyes here
as they would be closed or their expression would be absentminded.
This woman's soul is not in her body anymore.
It's everywhere around her but not there.
She feels like being a part of something
of some great spirit
the spirit of this world
the spirit of Nature
When You go deep into something with Your heart
You become a part of it
Haruki Murakami was right
only when You open Your heart
You can become a part of Nature.

Thank you for your comment. It is incredible inspiring to see someone actually spending time thinking Β about something I have created

drawings and paintings are the most creative and demanding art forms
no copying, pasting, modifications...
You start from nothing and end up with something... or with nothing at all
depending on a day, on amount of ideas and on the blessing hand of the muse of all artists:Β
INSPIRATION
some of the drawings we make are just empty
do you have this sometimes?
because all of mine are emptyΒ
I obviously don't have this gift to convey the images from my head to the paper so...
I decided to start a journey with photography
it's this less demanding kind of art
You always end up with something

Thank you. It's not the best book by him, but really, anything by Murakami is wonderful. Sputnik Sweetheart and South of the Border West of the Sun are my favorites.

Wait... so technically the title for this one is: "I don't have a title for this one yet"
This is pretty awesome (I mean the art not the title).

I like the texture this has. The shading is beautiful too- so many details but they are still all distinguishable from one another despite it.Β

Or in the night, when you switch your light on in your tent. When you are the only light out there - they will come like a storm and you will not know their names. And maybe some of them are unknown and untouched by our science. And then you will shine for them in the darkness and dance in the storm for a while. ~
Lovely piece of art, haven't seen something beautiful like this for a while. Thank you so much for sharing. <3
