Description
The third crystalline insect. Unless it moves, it can be hard to tell if it's a quartz sculpture or a living thing-- found in Dark Opal Forest and Dark Opal Forest Cave

Entirely composed of quartz and agates, the Quartz Mantis is a skilled predatory insect, native to the Dark Opal Forest.

It can stay absolutely still, waiting for right moment to strike unsuspecting preys. It can go as long as a full month in the same spot.

The mantis is peaceful, and wouldn't directly attack, since their body is tough enough to withstand pressures. They should however be handled with caution, their front legs are extremely sharp.

It lays it's eggs in a protective case on a piece of crystal. Juveniles molds as they grow. While the shedded skin crumbles shortly, the spikes on it's front leg remains, they can be collected for use, either fabrication or alchemy.

Assessment: Avoid touching front legs directly, spikes used in fabrication or alchemy
