It work best for end cities, as all the loot chests are right against the wall, if you manage to fly onto the wall outside the treasure room, you can simply bust a block and open a chest, that way you can get yourself lots of good tidbits without shulkers ruining your gravity.

Also elytra save lifes, use it to glide before you break your legs
