DUDE! VERY NICE! I currently have both sizes installed, but was wondering if you're planning to do a "XL" set (I'm a teensy bit anal and like to have a "full set")? If not, is there a way (that I haven't found yet) for "clearing-up" the picture in RealWorld cursor editor?

not in my plans, and there's no way to clear it with RW cursor editor.. but with photoshop, you can get the same sources I've used from the cursorxp package

So, I will need to, and should be able to do it in theGimp (I'm mostly freeware/OpenSource. Only my OS and my office suite cost me any money).

Love 'Em! Will you be porting the rest? If not How's it done so I can (assuming a free app that'll do it).

teft In reply to MW65 [2009-06-12 18:08:38 +0000 UTC]
There are no more to port... I did the "small" version about a week ago but I had no time to update this

There're lots more pictured, than're in the pack?

teft In reply to MW65 [2009-06-13 05:07:52 +0000 UTC]
Actually you can't use all of them, that's why I've ported only those needed

What do you mean "CAN'T"? I saw a much better option (IMHO) for a "move" cursor in there, and what looked like a black donut (.ani?) that (again IMHO) would've been a better choice than the blue circle for the "working" and "busy" cursors.

teft In reply to MW65 [2009-06-16 04:23:35 +0000 UTC]
I mean you can't use the whole set the same time... no animated black donut, maybe you could use the hand icon for the "moving" action but nothing else... if you want to do your own port you are free as long as you respect the license and it's original autor (Eric Matthews)

Which leads us back to my original question. How does one accomplish the porting and can it be done with free software or only with something you have to pay for?

Oh, I though you read about the free app I mentioned a while ago, but if you didn't [link] it's called RealWorld Cursor Editor

MW65 In reply to teft [2009-06-18 02:15:12 +0000 UTC]
Actually, I do have that one. I wasn't aware that it opened non-windows cursors though. These ARE Linux cursors aren't they?

teft In reply to MW65 [2009-06-18 18:59:14 +0000 UTC]
you can extract the png's from [link] or make your own with imagemagick and the original pack

MW65 In reply to teft [2009-06-18 21:49:12 +0000 UTC]
Downloading png's now. I'll have to look into imagemagic for future reference just the same though. Is it free software?

teft In reply to MW65 [2009-06-19 20:17:46 +0000 UTC]
yup... but you should be used to command line and scripts to be able to convert pngs from the source

MW65 In reply to teft [2009-06-19 21:59:01 +0000 UTC]
Uhm? Leaves me out then. I'm OK with command line, but only on a very limited level. Scripts? Don't know nothin' 'bout (not yet anyway, trying to work on that AND coding). Question for you though (well two actually), the package I downloaded indicated that it's for CursorFX. Am I going to need to go to Stardock's website and get that too? Also, I downloaded Tytynono's Aero VS from this site and REALLY LOVE IT, but want to change the start button. He told me which image number it would be, and recomended ResBuilder to get at it (since ResHacker doesn't do msstyles). I tried that but only got code, no images. So the question (which is actually in two parts) is, If I copy the code from one VS's start button, and paste it to another's will it work, and are they ALL set up the same as far as location goes?

teft In reply to MW65 [2009-06-20 04:11:19 +0000 UTC]
cursorfx package is a zip with different extension open it with winrar or winzip or whatever you use to extract the files
and no, if you have used resbuilder you'll se folders containing resources, these resources are images, and you can replace it if you want, I don't remember but I think its right click and replace or something like that, actually I use XN Resource Editor but it's almost the same thing
