Description
Adjust screw. Tighten. Turn right a few more degrees. It's in line now.
Copper wire. Attach to terminal. Take special care to to touch it once it's live.
Simon examined the two arcane stones before him. One was a familiar blue color. Cut in a way that wouldn't make any kind of geometric or geological sense. Imbued with some kind of magical power that he couldn't possibly fathom. Or rather, as he had found out from his studies, an especially powerful channeling force. If this was true, this stone contained very little magical energy. It's growth came purely from Leona's own untapped well of mana. Which made sense. She was a big girl. Probably had a large store of magical reserves to draw from by default.
Which is where the second stone came in. It was more of a pale yellow, stained by the oiled rags he had found it in. But it still gave off a very faint glow on it's own. As he reached for it, it seemed to respond to his aura and grow just a little bit stronger. Earlier in the day he had passed it around the room to see if one's magical potential increased the intensity of illumination. And, sure enough, he was right. He and the Old-Timer barely changed it at all, but Claire and Leona each caused a significant change in light output.
Eugh. The arcane was frustrating as hell. Like trying to construct something in a different language.
He took the glowing gem and slipped it into the socket. Alright, magical charges should be active. This gem was sort of a well of energy. Like a mana potion, only instead of replenishing one's personal ability to expend their well of energy it just gave them the energy. Running this through Leona's growth pendant should confirm if this was really just another arcade conduit.
He gave the copper wire a sheepish tap. Cold. Why was it cold. The stone should be running a charge though the wire by now. Why wasn't it?
Simon grimaced, looking at the glowing rock. Leaning in, he gave the object of his aggravation a strong pat.
And that did it. In that moment, the charge of energy traveled through the wire...right into his fingers he had gripping the wire.
"Shit." The damn thing had superheated the wire the moment he laid hands on it. The boy jerked back, clutching his fingers and suppressing a shout. It was late. The constant glow of the stones and the candle kept things from getting too dark, but when he pulled back he could see the encompassing lightless void. He could also feel the weight in his eyelids and absence of 'give' in his joints. What time was it? Oh yeah, he still had to fix the clock after this little experiment was done. Or, rather, this pre-experiment. It had taken up so much of his time. But he had to know. Who knew what the hell this thing actually did. And what kind of forces would want their hands on this almighty stone of growth.
And then the anxiety kicked in. The second he pulled away and gave it a mere moment of thought, all he could wonder was what if someone knew about this and was coming for them. Would his knowledge save him? Would it really be of use? Or was he just biding his time trying to feign accomplishment? What was he actually doing here?
Was this the right path of action? Maybe he should have fixed the clock first.
Maybe he shouldn't have wasted the copper wire.
And this special metal socket he had taken time out to craft.
And the resources needed for this device alone did take quite a bit of his free time.
Was this a wise use of that?
What if this experiment was a bust?
What if this stone was entirely different from any kind of arcane object he had read about.
How could he possibly-
Suddenly Simon felt a weight on his shoulders. Not a metaphorical one this time. A real one. That was big. And soft. And warm. And smelled faintly of honey.
"Hey." Leona greeted him, her bust settled gently on his shoulder.
"...hey." Simon's voice was low. Guttural. Barely any energy left to give. He suppressed a yawn.
"You plan on going to bed any time soon?"
"Gimmeasec. I'm onto something here." Simon took a pair of tweezers and attempted to grasp the wire, missing it by a few precious millimeters. And lifted it again, but missed by about the same distance in a different direction.
"Simon-"
"I'm fine...really." He blinked. "Just gotta keep goin' until I can-"
Leona slowly leaned in and took hold of his hand, forming a grip that was gentle but firm. "Stop, Simon. You don't have to tear yourself up over this."
"I do." Simon tried to kid around but found that his mind was a bit fried. "Tearing myself up is practically my job."
"Please just get to bed, Simon."
"I'm fine." He slurred out, stopping for a moment. The lights in his head flickered. What time was it? Oh, that clock. Why did he wait so long. Why did he-
"Hey." Leona called out, taking her other hand and gently gripping his free arm. "Don't worry about it, alright?"
Simon looked upward at the amazonian nymph before him, and she met him with a warm smile.
"You're no use to us or yourself if you've run yourself ragged, okay?" Her tone was gentle. Warm. Strangely comforting. "Don't fret about the details Simon. You'll forget about the bigger picture."
Simon, head back against Leona's soft bust, blinked a bit, flickering once again. She was nice and soft. And her tone had smoothed out his process of thought. "Mm...alright." He strained out, dropping the tools in their place and then himself onto the floor, partially in defeat and partially in relief. And the second he found himself with only his legs to support him, he immediately shifted and propped himself up against Leona's leg. "Gimmie 'sec. I just gotta....got....ugh....uuuurrmmm..."
Leona stood for a couple of seconds before realizing the boy's body had finally given out on him, now putting all it's faith in the stability of her slender legs. Suppressing a chuckle, she gently bent down and wrapped and arm around the boy, hoisting him up to her chest and starting for the stairs, the top of which contained the door to his room. The little workaholic had been coaxed out of his self-destruction, thankfully. He now snoozed into Leona's bountiful cleavage. She was just happy he was finally out.
GIMP fucking crashed, like, five different times during the making of this.
Ugh.
But here's Leona and Simon again. Kind of in that "Leona" mood at the moment. I sort of cycle through moods of what I want to draw, going from things like giantess smothering to simple giant boob art to little narratives like this.
It's alright. At the time of writing I've lost the will to be descriptive and simply want this sub

I think you could have completed the table and Simon's legs under it, or just color it a solid color to make it look like a crate. Either way, something would be nice there rather than just an empty space. I do like the colors and lighting of the scene, you can definitely sense the mood of the setting. I'm a sucker for people with brown skin, and Simon certainly takes the cake on being an attractive character for that reason. Of course, he's a "Brownie", so that comes naturally anyways. Leona is looking as sexy as ever, with a very nice outfit variant for sleeping, her colors warm, bright and inviting. She's never gonna take that bandanna off unless someone kills her, isn't she?
