- Day 3: Shell -

A mere week after the attack in Germany it was Japan's turn. Again attacking from the sea, the kaiju touched ground in the Wakamatsu ward near Kitakyushu. And much like in Germany, its appearance was preceded by a massive power surge and blackout. Knowing the power surge meant an imminent kaiju attack, the Japanese army and navy were swift to respond. Focusing their attacks on its legs they eventually managed to fell it, but not until much of Kitakyushu was destroyed. Unable to stand up again, the giant turtle thrashed around for a brief minute before disappearing in a massive flash of light that again knocked out all electricity. This has to be how these giant monsters appear out of nowhere, but that only leaves more questions.
