Description Vegeta
Alignment: Chaotic Neutral
Born: Age 732 (~73 years old)
Race: Saiyan
Home: Planet Vegeta
Battle Power: ?????
Occupation: #2 Martial Artist in the Universe
Goals: To go out with a bang on the battlefield, a death worthy of a Saiyan

Showcased Transformations:
Base, Super Saiyan, Super Saiyan 2, Super Saiyan 3, Hitozaru (Super Saiyan 4)

Bio:
In AGE 801, fearing a peaceful death far removed from the battlefieldΒ in their final years, Son Goku and Vegeta's Saiyan instincts kick in. The twoΒ Saiyans leave Earth so that they can finally settle their score in an all out battle, one that neither plan to return home from. Several years later, astronomers note a supernova-like explosion, believed to be an aftereffect of the greatest battle the universe will never see.

Notes:
DBGT inspired hair, but not taken exactly as is from the source. Outfit is based off his statement in the 2008 JSAT special with Tarble, where he says the battle jacket is "Saiyan formal wear". So I figure he'd like to fight his last battle as a true Saiyan and not the quasi Earthling he had become. So I combined the elements of his Super Era armor and his GT clothes. (Subject to change if he receives another new armor upgrade in Super or something.)

Yeah. I tried doing his flatter GT style when I first did the sheet, but I couldn't get it to look right. GT's art changed the series' style, and Vegeta's widow's peak got shorter, didn't really look good with the bigger version from most of Z's original art.

Glad you like the slight change though.

I redid all of Vegeta's line art and am changing some stuff around (including the sheet number) in preparation for Battle of Gods.

Yeah, saw that a long time ago. I like the idea behind them more than the execution though. Left SS4 isn't different enough, and right SS4 has that hideous gold on gold color scheme...plus he changed the hair when it looked enough like his base form as it was (IMO).

πŸ‘: 0 ⏩: 1

The-Devils-Corpse In reply to Shad73 [2012-11-03 22:44:07 +0000 UTC]

Eh, just handle it like anything else DB related, nothing really deep into the characters emotions or anything. Maybe have Vegeta get a bit more reckless in battle until Goku notices what he's doing and agrees to go off with him. Nothing special about it really

Yamato012 In reply to ??? [2012-11-02 13:27:01 +0000 UTC]

Imagine that battle. If it took seven years, wed be looking at like 60-100 episodes of pure fighting.

πŸ‘: 0 ⏩: 1

The-Devils-Corpse In reply to Yamato012 [2012-11-02 21:46:08 +0000 UTC]

No single fight in the history of the series has taken more than a day as far as we know. I doubt their battle would run more than an hour, max. Not that that short of a fight couldn't still be stretched to a obscene episode count though...

πŸ‘: 0 ⏩: 1

Yamato012 In reply to The-Devils-Corpse [2012-11-02 23:06:58 +0000 UTC]

Well it says seven years later there was a supernova scale explosion. Besides you know how DBZ is with time. If 5 minutes is 20 episodes then a hour would indeed be around 100.

πŸ‘: 0 ⏩: 1

The-Devils-Corpse In reply to Yamato012 [2012-11-02 23:31:05 +0000 UTC]

That's not how it works. Everything that we can observe in the sky is a snap shot of a past event, not seen in real time because of the distance the light has to travel. Depending on how far away their fight was determines how long it takes for the light of their supernova-ish explosion to reach Earth. Apparently, since it took the light 7 years to reach Earth, they fought 42 trillion miles away from the planet. (1 lightyear is equal to 6 trillion miles, the distance light can travel through a vacuum or uninterrupted space in one year.)

No, and I hate that freaking stereotype. That's how a poorly written 5 minutes lasts 20 episodes when bastardized by filler and bad pacing. From Episode 78 to Episode 86 is the battle with Freeza, from 1st form to his true form. All that happens in the ~hour it was said to take Goku to heal in the Rejuvenation Chamber.

I've been noticing the alignments you give each character. Like for Vegeta right now it says he's Chaotic Neutral. Care to elaborate on what state of heart a person has to have or to be exhibiting to be classified as one or two of the many different alignments?

πŸ‘: 0 ⏩: 1

The-Devils-Corpse In reply to BlueSunStudios [2012-08-31 02:30:35 +0000 UTC]

Pretty much the same as the normal alignment charts. At this point, Vegeta is neither good or evil; he's not out destroying things for his own gain or the sake of destruction, but he's not out saving every innocent he sees either. He only acts when it suits his needs, as when his family or his home (house or planet) are in danger, or when he can challenge himself. He also has no set plan of action and doesn't follow any rules to accomplish his goals; he improvises his "strategies" until something works.

Lawful Good - Character typically acts with compassion, honor and a sense of duty. Sometimes find themselves faced with the dilemma of whether to obey law or good when the two conflictβ€”for example, upholding a sworn oath when it would lead innocents to come to harm or conflicts between two orders, such as between their religious law and the law of the local ruler.

Neutral Good - Character is guided by his conscience and typically acts altruistically, without regard for or against Lawful precepts such as rules or tradition. A Neutral Good character has no problems with co-operating with lawful officials, but does not feel beholden to them. In the event that doing the right thing requires the bending or breaking of rules, they do not suffer the same inner conflict that a Lawful Good character would.

Chaotic Good - Character places a high value on personal freedom, not only for oneself, but for others as well. They always intend to do the right thing, but their methods are generally disorganized and often out of alignment with the rest of society. They may create conflict in a team if they feel they are being pushed around, and often view extensive organization and planning as pointless, preferring to improvise.

Lawful Neutral - Character typically believes strongly in Lawful concepts such as honor, order, rules and tradition, and often follows a personal code. They are neutral with regard to good and evil. This does not mean that Lawful Neutral characters are amoral or immoral, or do not have a moral compass, but simply that their moral considerations come a distant second to what their code, tradition, or law dictates. They typically have a strong ethical code, but it is primarily guided by their system of belief, not by a commitment to good or evil.

Neutral - This alignment represents Neutral on both axes, and tends not to feel strongly towards any alignment. Some characters refuse moral judgment and follow their instinct rather than conscious decision, or even play all sides to suit themselves. Others, rather than feeling undecided, are committed to a balance between the alignments. They may see good, evil, law and chaos as simply prejudices and dangerous extremes.

Chaotic Neutral - Character is an individualist who follows his or her own heart, and generally shirks rules and traditions. Although they usually promote the ideals of freedom, it is their own freedom that comes first. Good and Evil come second to their need to be free, and the only reliable thing about them is how totally unreliable they are. They are often free-spirited and do not enjoy the unnecessary suffering of others, but if they join a team, it is because that team's goals happen to coincide with their own at the moment. They invariably resent taking orders and can be very selfish in their pursuit of personal goals. Methods of achieving that goal are often disorganized, unorthodox, or entirely unpredictable.

Lawful Evil - Characters see a well-ordered system as being easier to exploit, and show a combination of desirable and undesirable traits; while they usually obey their superiors and keep their word, they care nothing for the rights and freedoms of other individuals and are not averse to twisting the rules to work in their favor. May sometimes find themselves faced with the dilemma of whether to obey law or evil when the two conflict. However, their issues with Law versus Evil are more concerned with "Will I get caught?" versus "How does this benefit me?"

Neutral Evil - Characters are typically selfish and have no qualms about turning on their allies-of-the-moment, and usually make allies primarily to further their own goals. They have no compunctions about harming others to get what they want, but neither will they go out of their way to cause carnage or mayhem when they see no direct benefit to it. They abide by laws for only as long as it is convenient for them. Can be more dangerous than either Lawful or Chaotic Evil characters, since they are neither bound by any sort of honor or tradition nor disorganized and pointlessly violent.

Chaotic Evil - Characters tend to have no respect for rules, other people's lives, or anything but their own desires, which are typically selfish and cruel. They set a high value on personal freedom, but do not have any regard for the lives or freedom of other people. They do not work well in groups, as they resent being given orders, and usually behave themselves only out of fear of punishment. It is not compulsory for a Chaotic Evil character to be constantly performing sadistic acts just for the sake of being evil, or constantly disobeying orders just for the sake of causing chaos. They do however enjoy the suffering of others, and view honor and self-discipline as weaknesses.

First off, I don't like most of the DBO armors (ridiculously complicated for no apparent reason). lol I did originally try some altered versions of the armor based off the ones without "wings": [link] But I ultimately decided the "original" just looked better on him. Still almost 200 years till DBO anyway, no need for those armors to pop up yet.

Whoa I hadn't seen most of those. Yeah you're right, some of them are overdoing it. I like some of the little changes on the more simple ones. Like for instance the white line on the jumpsuit of that second pic I showed. Or the padding at the side instead of the back.

Say do you have similar pics like that for all the gi's/armors/suits in dbo?

πŸ‘: 0 ⏩: 1

The-Devils-Corpse In reply to T-R-L [2012-07-01 22:21:00 +0000 UTC]

Only the actual full, one-piece dogis, but 99% of those are just costumes from past characters; like 17, 18, Bulma, Goku, Blue, etc., so no reason to really look at them. I don't think anyone has tried to grab all the regular outfits, because there are a decent amount of them and some change depending on species or gender. It's not too much trouble to grab the armors from the image I just showed you because almost all of them come from TMQs, so there are a limited number.

πŸ‘: 0 ⏩: 1

T-R-L In reply to The-Devils-Corpse [2012-07-01 22:24:23 +0000 UTC]

Yeah I'm not really interested in the costumes of existing characters. It's the new designs of the regular outfits that really interest. Some of them are pretty nice.

πŸ‘: 0 ⏩: 1

The-Devils-Corpse In reply to T-R-L [2012-07-01 22:34:11 +0000 UTC]

It doesn't help that a lot the desired stats are spread across different types of gear, making your character look like he has no sense of fashion a lot of the time. So people just use the solid dogis to cover up their ugly clothes. xD

I'm running around in a Goku dogi to cover up my ugly armor. I want to "train" with the Turtle School, but that's the only outfit with the symbol. lol
