Welcome to the world of Patriam, an amalgam of realities, located near the center of the observable multi-verse.
Patriam is home to the Daughters of Light and Shadow, two ageless, cosmic beings locked in an eternal conflict.
The agreement the two daughters had, an agreement older than existence that forbids either from summoning outside warriors, has been broken.
The Daughter of Shadow has dipped her dark hand into the Multi-versity Pool and grabbed the most vile creatures to ever roam existence.
As the Daughter of Light struggles to keep balance, she too must summon outside help.
Weakened by her sister's minions, the Daughter of Light's influence can only reach so far.
As such, she weighs her options carefully.

Each with the overwhelming capacity for good.
The Daughter of Light opens her palm and gently blows, stirring an ancient dust into a frenzy.
The dust whirls faster and faster, forming one ovular shape, then another. then another, each one letting off a dim glow.
She looks on, each dusty whirlwind a one-way window into her warrior's respective worlds.

The Daughter of Light plucks each of her warriors from their homes, leaving only a pile of dust in their place.

In a cold darkness, Garrus Vakarian steps forward, completely unaware of his surroundings.
