When I saw this I instantly thought of Tim Burton and Escher. Two of the perhaps most greatest minds.
The concept and surealism in this is astonishing. It's detail is something to be in awe of, and it's just all round darkly cute.
Always a great combonation.

The dog behind the window looks creepy. Somewhat maniac-like, but it really fits the atmosphere of the piece. The red ball in the middle of grey tones is beautiful.
