"I'm fine... but... sometimes thinking about you makes me cry..."

Lilac sat curled up on his bed, purple tears falling onto his blanket. Why? He thought. I was just a kid... I had so much more growing left to do... You left me... Because you thought I wasn't going to be the perfect son.

He put on his suit, purple tie and all and headed to the backyard. The rest of the squad was out. So he was home alone. The squads house was rather far from anyone else's. No neighbors... Just forests and a single road to the city...

He let out a scream, sending a crystal packed punch into the floor.

"YOU DIDN'T WAIT FOR ME!"

Birds flew from the trees near by, A pack of Swemps ran into a burrow. Lilac stood tall, staring at the grassy patch that was now mud and purple splats.

The Tears over-flowed, his hand shook, as if it was about to strike the next thing that moved. A sound came from behind him, coming closer.

*SCRUNCH!*

A blast of purple glow blinded the quick movement, as he looked up, his crystallized fist was stopped. And he was shaking when he saw who it was.

Oreo held out his arm, holding Lilacs shaking fist, right in front of his face. He just got home from his late shift.

There was a moment of silence, followed by direct eye contact.

Then Lilac fell to the floor, holding his arms close to his chest. Purple tears covered his face. The cool breeze of autumn felt as if it was draining.

Oreo sat down next to him, and carefully took the tie off of his neck, placing it on the side.

He then wrapped his tail around him, then set a small potted flower in front of the two. It drifted in the wind, like it was dancing to a unknown beat.

The two sat for a few minutes, in complete silence. Just watching the sky shift its stars and the flower drift in its small pot.

Then Oreo spoke softly. "You didn't fail her... she failed you... You don't have to try and be what she wanted you to be... because you'll think she'll come back if you did... Everyone here... loves you for what and who you are... I love you for who you are..."

Lilacs tears slowed, as he stared at Oreo, then back the the potted flower.

They sat out there for an hour before Pumpkin and Dr. Blind returned. But when they saw the two asleep outside, they only brought a blanket out for them as they didn't want to ask questions untill everything was better. As for the tie, Dr. Blind put it back in Lilac's room, on a small shelf, next to a group photo.

Sorry for how dark this sorta is. Lilac is a oc who was abandoned by his mother, when he was young. He still has thoughts that if he really tried to be what she wanted, she would come back. But, as he grew he learned, The people who love him for him are right here. He if he has to choose, he wouldn't pick anything else. 💜🖤
