Here's the reference sheet for the two.

The reason why Cynder is taller than Spyro is because she is in fact, older than him. (Maybe just a year or two.) Also because of her being a DarkSpirit dragon which are thin, and massive.

Nothing much has changed for Spyro, but his horns, underbelly and tailtip are now a dark bronze instead of a light beige, and he has two little spikes on his cheek.
