After becoming a princess of friendship there is on more thing Twilight must experice.... The loss of a friend... In this case, friends. To truly understand her duties as princess, she must understand all needs and expressions of a friendship. Says who? She is not a focal point in the series... The point is "the magic of friendship" if anyone needs to learn about friendship they could replace Twilight with. She is as changeable as a tire on a car.

The Execs at Hasbro to me is looking for more money and that can compromise the franchise. Look what happened to another example like Command & Conquer when greed plus rushing for quick cash has turned the entire franchise more dead than ever, but sadly, that franchise is still alive and still breathing but still been tortured and yet vomiting blood.

Look at Transformers, and I don't even mean the new movies (for those who had problems with them). I'm talking about the very first Transformers movie, Battle of Autobot City from Generation 1. Youtube it, you'll see.
(As a side note, I know it was released back in the 1980's. My father actually kept the taped episodes and toys from way back when my step brother was growing up, and I inherited them.)
Imagine being a 6 year old boy. Imagine how powerful a symbol it is to see the cool transforming car/robot toy in your hand, also fighting on the screen. Imagine being so attached and looking up to those figures on the screen.
Now imagine how excited you are, when your dad finds the gen 1 movie he never knew existed, in a goodwill. Now finally imagine your wide eyed terror as your favorite characters die in a flash of laser fire! IMAGINE the 6 year old equivalent of witnessing a terrorist attack! CAUSE THAT'S IT!
The decepticons KILL 4 of the most well recognized characters in the series. Brawn, Prowl, Ratchet, and Ironhide who die in the first scene! Followed up later by MOTHER BUCKING OPTIMUS PRIME! And just so they could cycle in new characters for toys.
So, Hasbro, I've forgiven you more times than most would. Keep that in mind when you poke your greed in where it doesn't belong. We'll buy your toys as long as you don't deface the reason we like them...

To a bunch of Execs, who took years to get where they are,its just another money maker that is equivalent to another or previous franchise... So the can just ride this into the ground, wait ten years, and launch another show with different toys to sell.
Plus our community is an anomaly so there is no written rule to please us. But they don't have to (which is stupid because we have more buying power than a 12 yr girl) they are a business and not listening to customers is foolish, they have the right to take it some where else.

Well, it is always a gamble. I currently don't have much experience to Hasbro compare to Electronic Arts, EA on the other hand is being monopolizing as well as money-making while deaf to customer complaints and also stubborn with tight deadlines instead of quality matters (Blizzard always say "When it's done" for their Starcraft 2 games, so no deadlines were told until it's almost complete), and in the end, you saw Command & Conquer pretty much dead after Westwood acquisition and Dungeon Keeper already dead after Bullfrog acquisition.

That is a thought that has worried many people regarding Princess Twilight. I really hope that Twilight can fulfill her duties and still be with her friends. Or at least visit them whenever she can. I mean, Celestia wouldn't want Twilight to be miserable, right?

Its a quandary really.... All her friends have responsibility and family back in Ponyville. They just can't simply move all into Canterlot and stay at the castle. (unless its Charlie and the chocolate factory where Wonka lets them stay in the factory, but that's an off shoot depending on the writers... It can be done but it would make the audience feel stupid and want to question it)
And a princess must stay in a castle, however Twilight doesn't need too, but must be at the castle to guide the other rulers... It seems stupid to have royalty commute to work everyday from Ponyville to Canterlot.

Twilight has been communicating with Celestia via letters the entire time she's been in Ponyville. Why can't she just handle her Royal Duties via correspondance?
As for a Princess needing to live in a castle, just rename the Pony Oaks Library to Castle Oaks Library, and that's handled.

Anyway, I hope you're right... But she now has royal duties (job) just like Applejack and Rarity (jobs) and therefore unavailable sometimes along with being over crowded with royal servants and guards. So you can't talk to her because she will be busy.

How do you sell more toys if she doesn't move? Easy.
As a new Princess, she has to go on a royal progress, visiting all the towns and cities in Equestria to introduce herself to those who weren't at Canterlot for her coronation.
THus, you get the Royal Progress playset (parade floats, carriages, and the like), playsets for each town and city in the kingdom (which she'll see one by one in the episodes as she goes there and winds up having to address some problem of some sort), and figures of any specific new pony introduced in said town or city, plus any unique guardsponies along on the progress.
So royal servants for the one who enjoys doing things for herself and royal guards for the most powerful unicorn Celestia has ever seen...crowding her...
Taking bets on how long until one of them gets turned into something unpleasant.

So is there anything that's actually worthwhile and to be happy about? Or does it pretty much suck?
I ask that because whenever I see stories and stuff that talk about duty and acceptance for characters, especially ones i like, I say the same thing: "Give them a reason to be happy about it."
I'm cool with Twilight being a princess but I'm not cool if all her duties and responsibilities keep her from anything that could make her happy.

Being thrown into this whole princess thing is going to be tough... We as viewers knew this was happening, but Twilight was thrown into this. I'm pretty sure she will be given time to sort things out but I cannot wait to see how the writers wiggle themselves outta this.
Basically, I think she is going to have doubts about he new roles, thus making her uneasy(unhappy)... I hope that she isn't going to be unhappy, but rumors are going around that she will be replaced... With that information she will become a secondary character that we see every episode in and out, like how Celestia shows up. So we as viewers will not see the problems therefore, they do not exist.

What rumors? And who is replacing her? Just because she's a princess now doesn't mean they need to replace her. Hopefully those rumors ARE just rumors that people made up out of concern to Twilight's new role. Hopefully.
Still, I mean, what all does Celestia, Luna, and Cadance do that could be considered fun and be happy about? Well yeah, Cadance does have Shining Armor but still.
Yeah, I don't think anything is worth doing unless you can actually be happy about it.

You're right they are just rumors but they hold some validity... During a con or something a few "blind bags" were released with model figures... Each mane six member had a special mask, but there was another... Another figure with a mask... Other figures don't have a mask from varying characters... By means of production this has some significance, in this case a replacement or a link from the mane five to Twilight.
Being a ruler seems easy really... In Equestria you rarely hear about anyone doing anything... Probably the most difficult thing was the invasion of the changlings. But there was an army and Celestia relied on the elements of harmony to fix it... Luna goes into ponies dreams (which was like a WTF moment) which isn't hard and it explains why we never see her.
Being a princess isn't bad, but the tough thing is going to have to work around her friends...

Hmm. Indeed, this is troubling. Whether or not this is a replacement character or just a new significant character is unknown. I understand that putting Twilight as a secondary character makes sense but personally I still want her to be a primary character. She has so much potential, even more so now that she is an alicorn.

Being an alicorn would have been fine with me... Have Celestia say good job and have fun with those wings... But they threw an entire coronation! The subjects want to see their princess, so they must see her into the castle. This bringing us back to a gray area in what will happen.
