Description

I just have a few characters left to post for Lapin Kingdom, so might as well get them done! Sadly, the remaining characters are rather underdeveloped, but I hope to change that!

Name: Persimmon

Series: Lapin Kingdom

Gender: Female (she/her/herself)

Sexuality: Bisexual

Species: Cat

Favorite Food: Red Snapper

Class: Thief

Powers/Abilities: Great at stealth, is good at hiding, good at stealing, can fight with a knife, etc (more to add later)

Catch Phrase: "What a purrfect find."

Likes: Fish, living by the sea, dreaming of opening her own store, long naps, watching the sunset, shiny things, and picking locks.

Dislikes: Rich people, remembering what went wrong with her last job, people who waste food, overpriced goods, crickets, and snow.

Personality: Persimmon is a bit of a trickster. She enjoys messing with folks and is great at putting on an act. However, when she's not attempting to mess with someone, Persimmon is rather kind and friendly. She's a big dreamer, and wishes to one day own her own store in her hometown. Persimmon is rather street-smart and is good at haggling. She wants to leave her past as a thief behind. She's not shy about her dislike of the rich.

History: Persimmon grew up in a large town by the sea and grew up a street urchin. At some point, she met and befriended fellow street urchin Katsu, leading the two to work together to steal from their target of the week. For years, the duo never got caught and managed to steal all sorts of things. However, one day the duo got greedy and attempted a large scale burglary that left both of them horribly injured and caused them both to be wanted criminals in their hometown. After this incident, the duo decided it was time to end their life of crime.

Current-Bio: Persimmon remains in her hometown. She's trying to leave her life of crime behind.

Meta-History: Ever since I started developing Katsu and his backstory, Persimmon has been floating around in my head. However, for awhile I was unsure of how to design her or what to call her. The original idea was that she was going to be a pirate (and an active thief). I struggled to design her for awhile, but I knew I wanted her to have either a yellow or an orange theme. It wasn't until a recent design sheet that I finally had a design for her: Big January 2023 Design Sheet (first one on the 4th row). Like Katsu, her design might change eventually but for now I'm just glad she has a design. She didn't have an official name until very recently too, but once I decided on orange being her main color, "Persimmon" was the name that came to me. Her story needs more development.

Relationships with Other Characters:

Katsu: Persimmon and Katsu are childhood friends and former partners in crime who used to steal together. After one of their jobs ended badly, the duo decided it was time to end their life of crime. The two still get along.
