It was a good match, but Sparity won in the end.

I didn't think Capperity would get as many votes as it did. Sparity gained a good momentum in the beginning, but slowed down towards the end and got stuck at 98 votes for 3 whole months, as Capperity was slowly shortening the distance between them. But then the 2 last votes got in and Sparity hit the 100 mark first.

I did have a thing for Sparity in the earlier seasons of Mlp:fim, but the way, it's creator, the show has handled these characters and their interaction with each other has kinda left me feeling indifferent, now.
Back then, I did find Spikes crush on Rarity adorable and I would have'd love seeing them as an item later on, once Spike becomes an adult. But the show has repeatedly displayed Rarity's disinterest in spike as a romantic interest. Not to mention, once the ''Equestria Girls'' movie came out and Spike was portrayed as a dog, kinda nailed it in the coffin for me. But I guess it's rather pointless, to apply real world logic to a neon color'd pony cartoon aimed for prepubescent girls, so I digress.

But shipping is suppose to be a fun hobby, fun to imagine what could be or what could have been. So ship the ships you want and let no one tell you otherwise!
