A quick lineup of my X-Men uniform concepts so far, with some changes from the initial pictures I posted of individuals.

Iceman is in the "base" / default version, because his uniform really requires no structural adjustments to accommodate his powers / abilities (aside from the materials from which it's constructed).

Cyclops adds the cowl, which serves to hold the ruby-quartz lenses that allow him to control his powers.

Angel adds long gloves and boots, which serve as an added layer of protection. In addition, they are supported by elbow- and knee-bands designed to help prevent muscle strain and joint damage (sort of an advanced kinesiology tape).

Phoenix (Marvel Girl) and Beast also sport cowls, theirs containing an added "stripe". These cowl-stripes contain various forms of technology designed to accentuate the wearer's powers / abilities.

For Phoenix / Marvel Girl, this contains a miniaturized Cerebro relay, which is linked to the main unit at the Xavier Institute. This enables her to engage in long-range telepathic communication with Professor X (or anyone else using the primary interface). I feel like this is more appropriate for her "Marvel Girl" stage; she wouldn't really need it once she'd advanced ... the other option is that it could be a power-dampener to help keep her untrained telepathy under control, depending on which version / story / stage of development you're looking at.

EDIT: I updated Jean's cowl / mask, but it still incorporates the yellow tech "stripe" / chip in the front.

Beast's cowl-"stripe" contains a miniaturized data-analysis unit linked to lenses mounted in the cowl itself. The lenses provide some degree of visual adjustment (probably limited data-capture / display capabilities, probably with remote access to his lab at the school). Beast's sleeves and leggings are truncated to accommodate his mutation; they incorporate kinesiology bands like those in Angel's gloves and boots.
