Context :

Soooo... I replayed KH CoM and... I thinking about the sentence that Marluxia said before Sora fighting him, when he ask to Naminé to erase Sora's memory.

Naminé : "But if I do that..."
Marluxia : "That's right. Sora's heart will be destroyed."
[...]
Maluxia: "If Naminé uses her power to erase your memory, you'll be nothing but an empty shell. You heart will no longer be able to feel or to care."

Sound like Nobodies :V

And, in Dark Road, Xehanort seen the memory of Player and think it's is own memory (He talk about Ventus or Ephemer like they're his old friend(It made me laugh seeing how he treats Ventus in BBS))

Now you have this two informations, I can explain what's append in this scene.

Lyu have three forms : the Past Form based on Cody (old name : Lyu (KHUx)), the Future Form based on Yuu and the Dark Form based on Vanitas.
Theres forms give the abilities of that person temporaly (like, if he use the Past Form, he can use abilities of Cody).

Only, each time he uses this, he recovers part of that person's memory until he recovers all of that memory.
And so, with four complete memory, (and so three others hearts mix up with his own) he forget who he really is.
He don't knows if he's Vanitas, Cody, Yuu or Lyu.

First try, I tries based on what people around him say and don't care about his memory, like "If this person say it's my friend, it's okey."
But with the time, I can't deal with some situation like when he ask with Ventus. Lyu's heart like Ventus but Vanitas' heart hate him.

So, in the end, he can't deal anymore and rejets all memories, even his own, and became empty shell.

I think I will add a system in the game like, if you abuse of using Form, it's game over. 👀
