Drekavac is a scary bedtime story told to children localized around Serbia,Bosnia, and Croatia. Many adults also believe in the existence of Drekavac.
The physical description of Drekavac is varied with some people reporting a humanoid creature while others describe a weasel or dog-like animals
There are far too many reports of Drekavac to recount here but I will share a few. One such report was told in an article released by Serbian newspaper the “Novosi Magazin”. In said article a story retold in 2016, as the story teller claimed that his grandfather saw a Drekavac on Kucin breg ”Kucin hill” in 1928. The story teller explained that his Grandfather was coming home in a horse-drawn carriage when his horses suddenly started to freak out. Apparently the story teller’s grandfather felt the need to get out of his carriage only to see the source of his horses hysteria. The creature this story teller’s grandfather described as a small black hairy creature he said to resemble a child in a way. The grandfather noted the remarkably fast movement of the creature. The creature proceeded to attack the story teller’s grandfather and attacked him repeatably over and over again only relenting it’s attack when the roosters started to sing( in Serbian tradition,it is only safe to go outside once the roosters start singing).
In 1991 the villagers in the village of Krvavica which is near Kruševac Serbia found a carcass of an animal unknown to any of them. The villagers claimed the corpse was of a Zdrekavac(Drekavac). This unidentified corpse was 31in/80cm long fur-less and similar to a dog it had a snake-like head with long canine teeth, a long neck and hind legs. The corpse was supposedly attributed by one villager to be the result of escaped subject experimentation in a NATO Lab.

My version of Drekavac I think is relatively unique but I think it is because of the given with the vague and ambiguous nature of the true identity of Drekavac. Both in actual origin and their reported physical description, So I honed in on the comparison of the Drekavac in one story which was compared to a child.
My version of Drekavac is truly child-like that is because the true origin of my Drekavac is demonic in nature but also undead in nature. To put it simply my Drekavac are the undead malformed still-born of another type of demonic creature the Nachtkrapp which in my lore is a species of large demonic featherless Bird.
My Drekavac physically holds themselves on two bird-like feet complete with three forward facing clawed digits with pointed heel spurs. The calf and shin of my Drekavac is bony and skeletal meanwhile the knees of my Drekavac bend and bow back and out. My Drekavac’s torso is fetal in appearance with almost vestigial limbs. But my Drekavac most striking feature has to be their disproportional-ally big cranium. The heads of my Drekavacs are fleshy with an almost cherub appearance. The eye sockets are large with the actual eye sitting back in the sockets. The top of the head is bald with a scraggly long hairdo hanging off the back of these creature’s head made of feathers. You would forget the bird origin of my Drekavac looking at their face except where these creature would have lips they have protruding beak.
My Drekavac “live” or at least can be found in the inner Hells of Tera Prime(my future Earth) particularly near demonic settlements there they can be found solo or in a pairs. They are found in greater numbered groups in another regions of Tera Prime’s inner Hells called the Fathoms of the Unspared which is the location of Tera Prime’s Hells’ that negative karmatically aligned souls build up in to an organic material called Sinning Flesh. Anywhere that Drekavac can be found they eat any living lifeforms as big as common rats. They hunt in manner similar to the likes of Terror-Birds that is they wander about eating the occasional tiny prey but when they hone in on a potentially more substantial prey they lock their eyes on prey and a chase begins. But the hunting Drekavac quickly move in to their prey thanks to their long legs. Despite their impressive sprinting ability Drekavacs possess a gait that looks rather unnatural or even spider-like this is due to the backwards bow of my Drekavac’s knees.

As it stands I am extremely pleased with how my drawing has come out, I find my Drekavac drawing striking and haunting. On top the fact I was so happy with my Drekavac drawing the spore version would out due my drawing. Basically very happy with both my drawing and spore creation.
By this time this goes up I should see how my new post type(old art dumps) is doing so just remember the old art dumps for April is scheduled for the 2nd which will already be posted before this one with the second will be posted on the 12th and the third up on the 25th all of April. The next post is another cryptid this time an Australian urban legend. That post should be up on 14th or 15th so maybe on my birthday
