Original template by `fox-orianMusicWhen I thought of what inspires me, music was the very first thing that came to mind. I simply cannot create without music, personally if I'm not listening something is very difficult to concentrate. I could mentions lots of tracks and tons of artists, but those who came to the top of mind are:
Owl City
If I had to mention only one artist, that would definitely be Owl City . Since I discovered them last year I cannot stop listening to them! Being my absolute favourite track, Meteor Shower .
So yes, Owl City gets the bigger space for being my main inspiration lately.
Sixpence None The Richer
If it wasn't for Owl City, my main musical inspiration would be Sixpence None the Richer . I'm still in love with Leigh Nash, since at least 10 years ago :B My favourite track from them? A Million Parachutes
OverClocked Remix
ocremix.org is a community of Video Game Music, it contains tons and tons of video game music remixes and it's a delight to the ears wether you're a gamer or not. Listening to those remixes has always inspired me greatly being Zircon and McVaffe some of my favourite remixers and Monstrous Turtles my favourite track from all times.
GamesOdin Sphere
I absolutely love this game! Not only it has gorgeous graphics and a gameplay I adored (yes, even with the lag when there are too many enemies on screen XD) but it also has a soundtrack that makes me dream and a story so well written and well presented that has served as inspiration in the creation of some of my own stories.
The Legend of Zelda
Not only The Wind Waker, but the whole celshade style, I love toon Link! I adore this style, even more than the "serious" one of other games like TP or OoT, I guess it's not really difficult to see that this style has influenced mine greatly.
Deviants and fellow artistsWell, being a deviant and spending most of my online time in this community I think it wouldn't come as a surprise that I find inspiration in the work of a lot of amazing artists around here. There are too many to mention! But some of those who has influenced me the most are:
Georgina Chacón and Jesús Bautista
I think it is safe to say that my friends comes first because I interact with them pretty much on a daily basis, at least online XD so what they do always encourage me to try my best, they're such an inspiration! It was difficult to mention only two, but if I mentioned all of them all these spaces would be for them :B I decided to choose =saiyagina and =jesonite for various reasons, first of all, all the achievements Gina has made so far, is impressive! and it always fills me with pride to say "hey! look at this! this was made by Gina! I know her!" XDD. Jeso as well, everytime I see another of his illustrations I feel envious! and he's also another example of dedication, passion and hard work! Besides that, they're two of my best friends so what else could I ask for? :B
My favourite pieces from them are: -Yun-Arashi- and Comission - AILIN BIKE GIRL
Lois Van Baarle
`loish ' art is simply delicious! Her style is quite different from mine but what I think has been her most notable influence over my work is her use of colors and textures. Before knowing her work I would have never thought about using those color schemes hah!
My favourite piece from her: smoking fish
Victoria Assanelli
I fell in love with `toiabates ' art since the first time I met her a few years ago, and that was precisely what made me choose the children's illustration path. The way she illustrates is a follow example for me.
My favourite piece from Victoria: can you see them?
Sergio Lantadilla
On a different approach, I also love ~peerro 's style for being so macabrely cute :B something I see is not easy to achieve but he does it with such ease! His use of textures and that sketchy look is also something I admire.
My favourite piece from him is: the cuatro
Patricio Betteo
I love `betteo !! 'nuff said. His style and creativity is out of this planet. Definitely one of the artist I most look up to.
My favourite piece from him: too many to mention.
Der-Shing Helmer and Tessa Stone
A very special mention to two of my favourite comic artists; `alexds1 and *vert-is-ninja , creators of The Meek and Hanna is not a boy's Name respectively. What these two have achieved with their webcomics is something I admire to pieces. Tessa's style is so fun! specially speaking of her character's design and panel composition and her way to tell the story is always enjoyable. On the other side, Der-Shing's style and story is so gorgeous, I could look to a single page and get lost in it for hours!
These are my main inspiration sources and my biggest influences, what about yours? :'D I wanna see!
