Description It took me a while but I finally finished this!
It turned out ...longer than I expected (clever use of understatements here, uh? ).
I tried to keep the captions to a minimum and semplify the steps, but I had to split it in two parts anyway

I was a little hesitant to call it a "tutorial" - I'm still trying to figure out a way to achieve a really realistic miniature pizza.
This is the best result I've achieved so far, but there still are some flaws that I need to fix..
I'm open to suggestion! Especially about the tomato sauce part

Part 1

XD You're actually right
I've always used so little salt that I wasn't even counting it
I'm silly

xD
Of course I'm not guaranteeing that it would be the same for seeds...but as long as they are covered with TLS, I don't really see why not.

just curious, what about adding small eraser rubbings? would that work?

You mean for the tomato sauce? I'm not sure it would work beacuse of the baking step - does rubber stand the oven heat? I've never tried.
If it does, it could actually work

Yaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaay!!! I love this! I actually started trying to make pizzas recently and thought about how much I wished you had a tutorial for how YOU made YOURS! AND POOF! Like magic, you read my mind and made one! Lol! xD I did the same thing as you did by mixing clay lumps in with my "pizza sauce" and wasn't crazy about the result. Hahahaha This is amazing. Thank you so much!

Talty In reply to thinkpastel [2011-09-26 19:25:11 +0000 UTC]

That only makes me love you even more!!!

It does! I'm glad you liked that trick and that you've been experimenting with it I was a bit confused at first, because pizza sauce is not lumpy here, it's even a bit watery. But I trust your pizza knowledge more!

Well I've had pizzas with 'watery' sauce and others with 'lumpy' sauce, there isn't a rule, really ... but I personally like lumpy more

That's good to know, besides I like anything that makes the miniatures look more intricate and textured
