Chapter 2 - The World

At the world of the living, Faiveth looks out in the open on the roof. Watching the city bellow him, he keeps pondering about his life cut short. He would wish to enter school, and someone to care for.

- So brother. A voice sounded in Faiveth's head. For someone so young you really think ahead of yourself. I don't know if that was God's plan or dumb luck. But I am glad I was able to protect you.

- Brother? I though you disappeared.

- No. I am just part of you. But it's tiring to actually talk.

- Robin... what do you think I should do.

- I don't know. Hopefully we can see ourselves in the puddle there.

Faiveth walks towards a puddle and bends down to look at it. There was no reflection. Faiveth started to tear up wanting his soul back, and hopefully to be human again. But as soon as Faiveth though of being human there was a reflection of him but as a bare young boy with black short hair. He looked at his hands but still was fur. But the feeling of being alive coursed thru him. And then as soon as he smiled, the sensation and reflection vanished.

- It's almost as if it shaped up on hope, but not in belief. Robin said.

Suddenly an angel in blue robes came down, in his arms where clothes, a black coat, and a box.

- I was sent by Micheal to bring you these, he gave me the message that he is tasked to keep an eye on you. And to wear these clothes. They will reflect on your current ability to be alive. Which is a rare feature which only the spiritual Arc level spirits usually attend. The coat will help you keep that hope up for twelve hours. And the box, it contains a bead, no angel nor demon can hold this artifact on this plane. That is all.

- How's that even possible? Robin said, but the angel can't hear him.

The angel gave the items.

- Oh yea. Nearly forgot. God told me this, and will translate it; Robin you can only be heard from your brother in the world of the living. And your energy here will drain fast. But you can sleep it back. You are what is keeping your brother here by your power. You will sadly need 3 days worth of sleep to be able to talk for 4 hours. As for the answer I predicted, those clothes are weaved by my son. They have the power to live with it's wearer.

The angel's wings spreads out and points up.

- Looks like my time is up. Angels and demons usually can't stay in the world of the living for too long. We are bound to our realms. But you two are fused in between. So you are able to stay. This is also why the bead won't affect you. You'll know how to use it eventually.

The angel waves goodbye, and vanished into the sky.

- Faiveth as the angel told, I need to rest. I can't seem to focus as much now.

- Don't worry. I am still young. I am open to learn new things.

- Robin chuckles. Well see ya later.

Robin's presence to Faiveth felt as if were a calm breeze from within dying down. Faiveth still felt him.

- For a moment there, I got almost scared. Well time to learn what I can do.

Faiveth starts on putting on the clothes. Blue Jeans with a hole he pierced behind, white shirt, and two shackles with a note: "Those shackles will disappear as soon as you wear them at the bottom of your legs, they will act as shoes when you transform. But, sorry in advance, these will give you pain if you start on turning back into a spirit when near the Living. This message can only be seen by you, me, and God. Hope you understand. Archangel Uriel."

- Well... pain... I don't know. It might take a while to understand this.

He reluctantly put the shackles, and then opens the box. There was a single white bead in the box. It's was about the size of an egg. As soon as he touches the bead it turned pitch black. Faiveth looks closer and started to see stars in the bead with a rainbow shine. He was amazed and look at it when moving it. The starts stayed put in the bead as the rainbow faintly shines as it's moved. He then slide the bead on some hair hanging on the left side of his face. The bead shrink and holds to it.

He smiles. Then looks into the sky, striking it with a fist, and then pulls up a thumb.

- Thank you.

He then lies down and closes his eyes hoping to relive his life.

---------------------------------------------

Two years later, in the town of in Canada. A child sits at the bottom of a fence in a school yard. The child looks down at a sickly little dog, and gives it some slice of ham. The child sighs.

- Faiveth. Or should I say Faith when you are human. Why are you so down?

- After 2 years of training to keep this form. To think that I can actually mingle into society. I have to work hard late at night hunting demons. Can't even have a field trip later today, since I don't have money.

- Well at least you got what you wanted, thanks to Uriel. She did help you for entering school.

- Yea and I won't ask more from her. When I look at this pup. It reminds me when I was alive. Our parents... where are they? How are they? Even when I the other kids. I am wondering... how... how do I know so much...

- I am surprised. Isn't that what we call a prodigy?

- Yea... I never asked to be one.

The sickly dog barks happily. Faith smirks.

- Hey kid! A teenage kid in silver hair and grey jean jacket shouts.

Some gang of teenage kids approaches. And grabs Faith by the coat.

- I told you yesterday this is my spot.

The dog bark sorely.

- Jack take care of the mutt.

- OK. Allen.

Jack kicks the dog at the fence, and lands on the metal spikes. A cry of pain and then some silence of the dog. Faith in shock, as he felt the life of the dog leaving. Faith grabs Allen's arm and squeezes it hard. Allen screams in pain as he let go. His two friends caught in surprise rushes towards Faith as he lets go. Faith glares at Jack and shouts.

- Stop!

Jack tries to punch Faith, but misses and falls. Faith points at the dog, and shouts sadly.

- I won't fight you. But never... NEVER... do that again! It was already sick. I was trying to help. Can you understand how I feel?

A female teacher approaches.

- What happened here?

The teacher looks at the dog, and turns away fast.

- Who did that?

Allen stood up.

- I did.

- Allen? Jack.

- Jack, Emma. Please. Leave me alone.

Emma and Jack looks angrily at Faith. As they leave.

- Well then, I have to tell the janitor to take it off. The teacher tried to talk without puking.

- No... I will take it and bury it. Allen tells the teacher while grabbing his arm.

- I won't let you touch that. Let me get...

- NO! I GOT TO DO IT. Allen shouted.

- Fine. But let the janitor take it off the fence. Stay here. And you too Faith. I'll be back shortly.

The teacher leaves. Faith surprised and looks at Allen.

- Why are you doing this?

- I don't want to talk about it. Allen murmurs as he crosses his arms tightly.

A few minutes later, the janitor and teacher came with a ladder and a shoe box. The janitor went to grab the puppy with it's gloves and puts it in a bag in the box. Allen takes the box. The bell rings. The Janitor grab Allen's shoulder before he left.

- Boy. I should bury it for you. You have a field trip so I don't want you to keep this box for too long. It might smell.

Allen lowers the box, opens it and tightens the bag. He had blood on his hand and he wiped it on the grass and then pants.

- I will put my deodorant in it before I go. But I will bury it after I return.

- Are you sure? Faith replied seeing Allen's bruised impression.

Allen walks away.

Later that night, Faiveth watches on a tall building, with a hellish motorcycle behind him, a silver gun on his back and a black and white sword in his hand. He was starting with his assignment for the night. Robin was asleep to conserve it's energy.

- Well another night, another hunt for demons. It's almost Midnight ten o'six. I see the bus is returning from field trip. Wait... Isn't this.

Faiveth's eyes open wide and jumps on his motorcycle. He rides down the building wall and warps into the glass. He pops out of a building next to some train tracks. He bus was stalled there, a train approaches. Kids leaving the bus in panic with the teacher behind them. Faiveth rides thru the unsuspecting crowd checking if everyone is there. Then he heard the teacher scream: "Allen!" Faiveth jumps off the bike and enters the bus and sees Allen sick and lie down, holding the box in his arms.

Faiveth tries to grab Allen but his arms phased thru his body. He then turns around and see the train just as it's about to hit. The train crashes. The kids turned towards the teacher paralyzed in shock. Faiveth floating midair as the train passes before he lands slowly onto the ground. He himself was in shock.

He didn't want to see someone young die as he himself saw the fear of parents and relatives mourn too often.

Out of the smoke, Faiveth saw a pup that looked like the one that he was nurturing, but with a silver mane on top of it's head. It was panicking and walking backwards. Then he saw that further away there were six abominations of demons rushing towards the pup.

Faiveth pulls out his silver gun and point at a demon. "Smite!" He shouted and a twin beam of light swirls towards the demon. The demon dodges but the beam twisted and hit it on the back. The demon warped towards the sky into a ball of light.

A demon reached the pup and jumps to grab it. Faiveth jumps in between and smacks the demon with the side of his sword before shooting with the silver gun. The other four demons stops in their track and surrounds slowly around them growling faint words that echoes that they need to feed on the wicked.

- I will not let you feed on him. He is under my protection. Faiveth shouted as his stripes on his body glows red with his anger.

The pup whimpers and does a soft barks. Faiveth calms a bit.

- I see that you can't speak right now, but I do understand you. Stay calm, and behind me.

All four demons pounces. Faiveth points it's gun into the air, and slide his sword under the pup. He catapults it into the air. Faiveth whispers: "Omega." and touches the blade to the gun. An explosion of light and dark swirls around him as the demons collide onto the swirl they evaporate into a faint light that then floats into the sky.

The pup was about to fall into the energy, but it vanished before it hits it. And it lands, onto Faiveth's hand.

Faiveth looks around at the teacher crying her tears off, unaware of the battle that just happen.

- Well I feel sorry for your family.

The dog suddenly felt down.

- I think I got something for you.

He points his sword tip towards the dog. The dog panics.

- Don't worry this sword only exchange, gives, and takes abilities that I notice. But it's useless in inflicting pain from the blade.

He places the pup on the floor and stabs it. The dog glows in light and shape changed into a silver wolf with green eyes.

- What the...

- I'll stop you there. Just in case... avoid using the next word. Faiveth said as he grabbed his mouth.

- Erm... how did I die? What did I just saw? And don't mention my family.

- You must be Allen. You died from the train collision. You got sick from the blood you wiped on yourself from the sick pup. From what I see you were dreaming or having nightmares about being a pup. Which as you died, you became the pup. I honestly don't know why you stayed as a pup though. Usually humans tend to become human looking after a short while. Unless...

- Unless what?

- They were going to hell. Demons can't return to being a human. They are stuck as creatures tend to be drag into their eternal suffering, as what tortures them the most. Such as my bother in stone. Demons that also say the word "Hell" are dragged to hell. Hopefully my sword could negate that, but as I said... just in case.

- I am stuck... as a wolf?

- Yea sorry.

- Cool!

- Wait, what?

- Well, I am sad for my friends that I died. But living with a bad... father... and...

Suddenly a light shone from the heavens, a woman in white robes with the female Arc Angel in golden white robes with an owl design crown on her forehead, Uriel. Allen's eyes open wide.

- Mo... Mother...

Allen jumps on his mother's lap crying.

Uriel walks next to Faiveth.

- It was wise of you to protect him. He would be a good companion for your journey. Uriel looks at the woman. And you actually made her wish true. She didn't want to see her son fall so easily to hell. And that is also why I am here. God has given me a message. And your new task along with what you already have, is watch over him. He might not be able to come into heaven, yet. But under your guidance.

- Wait, under my guidance? Faiveth looks at Allen and back. How am I gonna do that? I am just a kid.

- You are more then just a kid. You are a prodigy of both this and the world of spirits. This world needs your eyes, and your surprisingly good wisdom. As God has blessed you with this bead and your freedom. I got my hopes for you and this world's future.

Uriel walks towards Allen's mother. And taps her shoulder.

- It is time.

The mother nods and holds Uriel's hand. She tilted her head on the side with a smile and tears: "Thank you". Then both angels return to heaven. Allen walks towards Faiveth, tripping on his head at his feet. And he cries at his feet.

- Thank you. *whimpers* Without you... I would never had meet my mother. *sniff*

Faiveth sits next to Allen, petting his fur. And short time later Allen feels asleep.

The next day, just before dawn, Faiveth wakes up Allen.

- Allen. Wake up.

- *Yawn*How long was I asleep?

- Four hours. I got somethings important to tell you.

- Yea what is it?

- First of all. My name is Faiveth, but you also know me as Faith.

- WHAT! Wait... you died to the train too? I never saw...

- I wasn't on the bus. I was... *sigh*... already dead to begin with.

- Wo... wo... wo... so this whole time I was bullying a corpse.

Allen went blank. Faiveth snaps his fingers in front of him.

- Snap out of it. It's an ability I have, to make my human body. And I must warn you. To me right now you look like an adult wolf, but your physical body is that of a pup. For some reason it gave you this body. You are in-between both the living and dead realms.

- Wait am I a zombie?

- Umm more like a doll.

Allen looks angry.

- Action figure.

Faiveth laughs.

- Ok.

- So what should I call you? Fave or Faith. I'm confused.

- Well first of all it is Fai-ve. It's written f-a-i-v-e-t-h and the "th" is silent. Second when I am in this form call me Faiveth, but as a human, Faith. It usually helps me with the living situation.

- I just realized. Are you a demon? You said.. the word. Yet nothing happened.

- I am what they call a Dergon.

- Almost sounds like Dragon.

- It's similar but not the same, in a spiritual kind of way. I got to cut this short. I gotta go home and prepare for school.

Faiveth summons up his bike.

- Wait you can do that? What else? School stuff?

- I pretty much stolen that ability from a hard to get demon. But it was very practical for fast travel. But I can also summon my gun and sword in a similar way... and... some wings...

- Wings?

- I rather not talk about it. But for now I have to go to my apartment and then school.

Meanwhile in heaven's throne, eight arc angels kneels before God, which Micheal and Uriel at the center front of the group. God raises his left hand and speaks in a tri-voice.

- My children, as thou have guessed. The eternal conflict has risen to another level. There are two new born realms. Thou as you may have guessed the fallen angels are invading them, thus we must protect them, even when empty.

An arc angel clad in black armor, with wolves plated on the shoulders and helm.

- How must we protect the world of the living and those realms? As I must keep watch of hell's gates to prevent the guilty to escape.

- Fear not my warrior, Gideon. As thou strongest, you and your angels are to stand at hell's gates. Micheal and Uriel are the only ones to stay on Earth. As another is helping them.

Gideon stands down as an arc angel in brown robes and with an eagle helm on his head and a bow on it's back stands up.

- Which realm should I scout my lord?

- Annabel. Thou shall scout the realm with mountains. Your strength will greatly require there. Yet, bring Daniel with you. You must listen to him.

- Why?

- As thou will find out.

An arc angel clad in silver, holding a black book in his left belt, and a white book in his right, stands up and grabs Annabel to the shoulder.

- We should go now.

- Agreed.

Annabel, Daniel, and Gideon vanishes as Micheal and Uriel stand up.

- And we shall go my lord. Seems that Russia and Pakistan are being attacked by the demons.

- Agreed.

Both Micheal and Uriel bows, and vanishes.

- Thou my most trusted angel, Gabriel. You, Uzziel and Amon shall take on the other realm. Thou must fend back the demons, if you see one of Gideon's angels, tell thy to report the entrance to Gideon and to stay at the gates between Hell and the world of the living.

The 3 arc angels fully clad in bluish gold armor each equipped with a sword with words on the blade written in Hebrew with their name, rises up and bows.

- We will go to protect the plains until future notice my lord.

And the angel vanishes, but Gabriel finishes.

- What are with these worlds my lord?

- Thou are linked between Hell and the heavens. They cannot interact with earth at all. My powers are cancelled in those worlds. But those worlds are meant for the forgiven and forsaken of our realms. Lucifer must not grab hold of those worlds. You, Micheal, Gideon, and Annabel are on par when facing the fallen arc angel of light.

- I understand my lord.

Gabriel vanishes.

- And thus our worlds grow bigger. Faiveth, thou be the guardian of thus world made from thee and thou "future".
