From what I've heard she's the only compelling character of that game. 8C

That... couldn't be further from the truth. To be honest in my opinion this is the strongest crew we've had in terms of each being equally engaging. Each member of your team gets plenty of development, including the non-squadmates like your engineer or your medic. Not gonna spoil too much but overall I am super happy with the Tempest crew. They're all wonderful characters. Vetra is my favourite though tied with Jaal, who were both very nice surprises. Jaal especially. He's a very welcome breath of fresh air with a character-archetype we haven't really seen explored before in the series.

That sounds cool. But, I don't think I can buy it. THAT many glitches and animation errors just kind of ruin the experience for me.Β

Suit yourself. But I would say you're missing out. There are some glitches here and there sure but nothing game breaking. Normally just funny stuff like squadmates reaching places they shouldn't be. And the animation errors really aren't that bad from what I've played. They're weirdly super awkward at the start, especially with the human characters. But I never really saw that as a big deal myself. I play Mass Effect for the interesting characters, expansive lore and satisfying shooting/narrative driven gameplay which Andromeda has in spades. It's Mass Effect, it's just rough around the edges.

Try not to let the hate train this game got convince you it's not worth your time, cause it is if you like the franchise. The media just blew things out of proportion with the complaints about facial animations.Β

Hmmm, I'll consider it. Normally I don't care about glitches. But the ones present in this gameΒ
remind me a LOT of my game design classes in college.Β

And the animation glitches remind me WAY too much of certain students' thesises, which were just BARELYΒ
functional games. So this is a bit more personal for me than most people. 8/

There are a few quests that can lose cohesion if you do a further objective without it being given to you yet and some other technical issues that should hopefully be fixed soon. The Witcher 3 also had some quest problems in the beginning.

I am enjoying the game quite much though and I just finished Voeld. The Tempest is great, the crew is interesting and has a more 'close' feeling the way Ryder brings them together. I play as BroRyder and he's interesting too, way more casual than Shepard, but he's inexperienced and tries his best. And I chose Vetra too. Tall and smooth. ;-P

I think the game has been unjustly hammered by critics. It's not perfect, it does need more polish / patches, but I don't see it as a bad entry in the franchise or lacking any soul, far from it.

The game absolutely isn't perfect. It definitely needs buffing in areas to iron out the issues it has. But the media seemed to latch onto what it got wrong rather than all the good it did which I feel vastly outweighs it.Β

And I totally agree about Ryder and the Tempest. Ryder feels more like a real person while the Tempest feels way more homely than the Normandy did if you ask me.Β

Yeah, it's nice how the crew get to talk with each other more. Bioware started that trend in 3, but it feels much better in Andromeda, I think. I like the banter in and out of the Tempest.

And it feels nice to drive the Nomad around. ;-D
Sometimes I miss Mako's cannon though.

Plus, the party banter and Movie Night makes you realize how honestly lifeless the OT characters are at times. The only time they felt real people with real relationships was Citadel DLC.

I totally agree. I have a good feeling about this new trilogy as a whole. First entry was just a bit shaky with glitches and such.
