Past/Bio:
Evelyn never really had the most loving childhood; for the first few years of her life, she was saddled with parents who showed affection, mainly depending on how useful she and her siblings were to their criminal activities. Her older sister had no metahuman abilities and was kicked out of the family and sent to live with her grandmother. Evelyn’s parents then shifted their focus on her; their likely motive was to mold her into the perfect weapon for the Crows; thankfully, one of their more high-priority heists went wrong. Darkfire, Superman, and Martian Manhunter intervened; when the dust cleared, Evelyn’s parents were arrested and sent to a maximum-security prison.
Darkfire volunteered to foster her until further notice; fostering became adopting, and soon enough, Evelyn found a home with Darkfire and his partner, Zephyr. When she got older, she was ecstatic about superheroes, so much so she begged to join the team. It took a year before she could be anywhere near Mount Justice. And then another few months before she could join in on missions. Her first mission had been relatively alright if you call breaking into an old Shadows base and retrieving information easy. All in all, she came out of it with a few scratches.

Personality: Evelyn is a joyful and energetic person; she’s an optimist at heart and is always looking for the better side of the situation. She's also a bit of a pacifist, preferring to use extreme measures only when necessary. The most she does to enemies is wrap them in shadows to tie them down; rarely does she engage in hand-to-hand combat.

Dancing: Eve loves dancing, she took it up during middle school, and she rose through the dance world. Occasionally she does use her powers during the performance to make it look cool.
Fears:
Abandonment - a fear likely stemming from the relationship with her biological parents, Evelyn has tried to work this out but it still tends to resurface itself, with Evelyn sometimes fearing her friends and family will turn their backs on her and leave her behind.
Small Spaces - the root of this fear, came from the tiny confined holdings her biological parents kept her in after her sister left, as insurance their future source of profit wouldn't wander off or be found.

Father: Fraser Chapman ( supervillain alias: Heat Wave ) Evelyn prefers not to contact him, and the feeling is mutual; even before his imprisonment, her father had zero affection for her.
Mother: Reeva Chapman ( supervillain alias: Miss Behave ) Evelyn’s mother was a manipulative woman who used Evelyn’s craving for parental affection against her. The two have a one-way contact; from time to time, Reeva will send letters begging Evelyn to visit. These letters get burned or tossed out
Siblings: Evelyn has no real relationship with her biological sister as she was kicked out when she was relatively young. And as far as things go her older sister doesn't seem to be interested in connecting with her.
Adoptive Family:
Father: Ryand'r ( humanized: Ryan Newfield, superhero alias: Darkfire ) Ryand'r was equally withdrawn in the beginning, he wasn't sure what to do, but he figured it out. Between him and Árón, Ryand'r is the more protective parent and was also the one to find back on letting her join the superhero life.
Father: Árón ( superhero alias: Zephyr ) Árón is the more relaxed parent, but he does still maintain some strictness. He was more open to her joining the Team, mainly to defend herself if need be.
Brother: Ashton Newfield ( superhero alias: Cataclysm ) Ashton likes to use his powers to annoy Evelyn, there's also a bit of teasing; despite all that, they are close and Ashton is honestly the best brother.
Best Friends:
M’gann M’orzz: Both she and M’gann shared a sense of wonder when they met; with both of them being new to many things, they bonded quickly. Though their friendship did deteriorate between seasons 1 and 2 and been reduced to barely speaking to each other. M’gann’s abuse of her powers made Evelyn step away, a bit out of shock and a bit out of fear. They wouldn’t reconcile until season 3.
Ylsya Ze-Ga: When Ylsya came around, Evelyn was curious about her, she kept to herself and refused to release any details of the universe she came from to the Team. Any information she did give was to the Justice League, at first it was difficult to get Ylsya to open up. But after a while, she managed to, even so, it took time before Ylsya would feel comfortable enough to talk to her.
Connor Kent: At first, Evelyn was slightly terrified of Connor, and kept her distance. But after a few missions, they grew close. Despite the difference in personalities, they somehow hit it off and became friends. After the fallout with M’gann the two grew closer and now, Evelyn sees him as the brother she never asked for but is glad she got.

Prometheus Ajax: Prometheus and Evelyn had a brief relationship, which amicably ended. Prometheus had his own issues with his lineage and his own powers, whilst Evelyn was dealing with her fallout with M’gann, her mother’s early parole from prison. All in all, they both decided a relationship wasn’t really what they wanted right now, but they did stay friends.
Ylsya Ze-Ga: Evelyn’s a hopeless romantic and when she and Ylsya got closer she began to develop feelings. Feelings she didn’t know what to do with, she didn’t act on them at all, and initially confided in M’gann about it, when they fell out, she confided in Connor who told her to go for it.

Weaknesses:
Light - specifically concentrated light, regular light is fine, but in the desert, or weapons like concentrated light beams, Evelyn's shadow powers are severely weakened and her physiology is often left in a feverish state.
Shadow Limitations - Evelyn can't create shadows out of the blue, she has to use existing shadows around her, when none are available, she has to rely on her own shadow, which isn't limitless and is often confined to close range around her.
