your work is outstanding! a model for me, I've Favorited several pieces of yours. they have heart, drama, and humanity as well as a disturbing touch of darkness often.
and I've liked many of your Sargent studies.
but i have to hit you hard here, this is one of my favorite Sargent pieces and one of my fav paintings of all time so please don't take to much offense at my saying, there's just NO WAY you can come close to capturing what Sargent did in that piece of work. I been in the presence of the original.
you've got the basic shapes and there's sorta the colors but .. um sorry. Sargent's composition is just the base, the economy of awesome bush strokes and the light and the colors in that Sargent piece are PEERLESS. the whole painting is alive man.
I'll forgive you for your attempt, i know it was made in earnest and in homage but...
