This wire necklace was originally made for my I.S.U ( Individual Study Unit ) in Art as part of the visual part that went along with the Oral presentation I had to do. I made it to represent something about the Artist that I was researching for my I.S.U; her name is Johanne Cullen, and what the shell represents about her is her great love of the Sea and her passion for intensity. I made it by taking a normal shell and then painting over it with Water-colour paint, and then sealing it with a natural toned nail polish so that it wouldn't make it look too shiny but would lock in the colour and make it water-resistant. I then took wire and wrapped it around it, twisting the top end into a loop for the chain it would be put on, and tucking the other end into the bottom inside the shell to hold everything in place. The necklace is not for sale, and actually is being sent to the Artist of whom it was based upon as a gift that she kindly accepted.
