This is a shot from one of my old calendar tests. Obviously some artistic license as there was in many of my calendar shots. However I felt this shot was another great example of the facination I have with muscles on women. This model worked out extensivley on her body and in my opinion is highly attractive. I am also attracted to less muscular women but there does seem to be something especially appealing with bodies such as the one pictured here. I think it comes down alot to shape and flow. A toned body does seem to bring out very defined lines ion legs, stomache, shoulders ect. I am starting to wonder if it all comes down to finding the best balance. Perhaps too much body fat hides the natural lines of the human physique. Too little fat can also take away from line and flow. Either way I expect this shot will inspire some varied opinions.www.leapoffaith.com.auiT

I agree with you, good sir, (even though I am a straight woman myself) in your theory of balance, for both men and women. Too much muscle becomes grotesque, no matter the gender, and a balance does bring out the lines of the body while still having attractive curves. I hope you don't mind if I fav this as a drawing reference. :3

Tony, once again, you resonate with my feelings as well. A 'too' toned women (or too buff, if she goes heavy on supplements) can look too 'man-like' and loose her feminine look, as in her LINES. But too 'out of shape', and her true figure is covered by 'stuffing'. There is a right balance and I think all women have a DIFFERENT balance. In the states we talk a lot about Body Fat %, and women under 14% are in shape, but some look better between 14-18, while others look better @10%. It's just interesting how crucial it is to have a balanced LOOK for yourself. Some are not happy till they're "too toned" (for me), but if they're happy with it, they'll always find someone who's happy with it as well. The key is to tone your inner person as well as your body. That's probably the most important balance there is! ^_^

Love your reference to toning the inner person. I think many gym people are addictive and needy and lose emotional and physical balance. However when we are composed and secure as people our bodies look better and are healthier. Also when we are emotionally secure we tend to eat and exercise in perfect balance.

That's a great point! I don't know, personally, a single person who isn't one extreme of the 'fitness' scale. They're either addicted to the gym, or ignore the need to be more fit in diet and exercise.
While I find nearly all women to be attractive, in some form or have the potential to be beautiful, one who balances the 'balanced fitness' lifestyle is truly gorgeous. It's a shame they're such a rare sight.

Think the society we live in and support makes it very hard for any of us to be perfectly balanced in our perceptions. However by realising this we are better able to slow ourselves down and then only act on what we really want.

Very true. Once something is brought to light, it is far easier to acknowledge it and decide how to deal with it. Otherwise, you wander aimlessly through life/hobbies/goals not knowing how to make it what you truly want.

I'm a woman with quite a bit of muscle myself, and I like that. She's very pretty, but I think that, with a tiny bit more belly-fat, she would look even better

this woman is quite attractive, and I agree, muscel tone is a good thing, personally for me, this is just on the side of a little too much, but thats my personal taste, still quite attractive. I think the best spot is just before the abs start to define, and on her they're starting to define.

I completely agree with you. Muscular woman is extremely attractive but there also needs to be balance. And you have captured this balance in this beautiful model. On another thought I have seen this model on bodybuilding.com
